Job Context:
∎ Head Of Software Product Development are members of the leadership team who manage the product development process within the organization. They’ll research and determine the clients’ needs to determine which features to include on products and will pitch ideas for product features to stakeholders. He/She will then continue to act as the primary contact between the scrum teams, product development departments and stakeholders.
∎ They’ll collaborate closely with both the scrum and product development departments to ensure the products meet specific objectives as outlined by stakeholders and clients. After product completion, the Head of Software Product Development will conduct a final review and submit their approval before releasing the product to clients.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Understand the business requirements and goals of the product, and align them with the needs of the target market and customers.
∎ Conduct market research and analysis to identify opportunities and validate product ideas.
∎ Breaking down business/user problems into parts and creating iterative solutions for the problems by creating products/features/processes.
∎ Create a roadmap for future products.
∎ Develop, implement, and manage new services and tools, and strategic programs to support and enhance operations and processes as per the company's specifications and requirements.
∎ Prioritize tasks for the fastest output and long-term benefit.
∎ Work cross-functionally with internal and external teams including software engineers, operation managers, finance, supply chain, leadership and merchants to implement features for roll-out.
∎ Identify and manage program blocking issues, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance the business needs versus technical or operational constraints.
∎ Leads the product functional design process based on an intimate knowledge of the users and technology.
∎ Define requirements, metrics analysis, development, testing, and launching efforts.
∎ Work with designers to optimize product features for enhanced user experience.
∎ Assist with the investigation and root cause resolution for escalations.
