∎ Bachelor/Honors
∎ A Bachelor’s degree in Climate Change, Disaster Science and Management, Social Sciences, Journalism and Mass Communication, or a related field from a recognised university

∎ Up to 6 months of experience in areas such as research, advocacy, communications, or media engagement, ideally with a reputed organization-preferably within the international or non-governmental (I/NGO) sector.
∎ Strong communication skills in English and Bangla (verbal & written).
∎ Skilled in creating content (reports, blogs, social media, infographics, training materials) in both English and Bangla.
∎ Hands-on experience in photography and videography, including editing short videos using laptop or mobile-based tools.
∎ Familiarity with media relations and experience in media management is highly desirable.

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ She/he will build and maintain relationships with youth organizations, hubs, and networks focused on climate change, early warning systems, and resilience initiatives.
∎ Facilitate youth participation in events and campaigns.
∎ Create, edit, and share engaging content (news, blogs, short videos and reports) in English and Bangla to showcase project outcomes.
∎ Support social media campaigns and monitor audience engagement.
∎ Assist in promoting youth inclusion in climate governance by coordinating with I/NGOs and partner organizations.
∎ Contribute to knowledge sharing and advocacy efforts.
∎ Provide logistical and administrative assistance for workshops, campaigns, and stakeholder engagement activities.
∎ Support the organization and documentation of youth-focused initiatives, contributing to reporting and knowledge-sharing efforts.
∎ The purpose of the role is to support the effective planning and implementation of Practical Action’s climate and resilience-related initiatives in Bangladesh. The intern will play a key role in strengthening youth engagement, developing communication materials, and supporting field activities aligned with the organisation’s global and regional strategies. This role contributes directly to promoting community-based climate resilience, disaster preparedness, and adaptive capacity through collaboration and knowledge sharing.
∎ The scope of this role is to provide an overall understanding of the Climate and Resilience theme for someone who is keen to learn about climate action, youth engagement, and communication. The intern will gain hands-on experience in content development, youth mobilization, social media outreach, event coordination, and logistical support, along with exposure to stakeholder engagement and field activities.
