We are seeking an ambitious individual to join this team as Joint Chief Engineer (Electrical) at Bashundhara Chemical Industries Limited, BIEZL, Mirsharai, Chattogram.
∎ Oversee electrical equipment installation, testing, and commissioning, including substations, transformers, switchgear, motors, and power distribution systems
∎ Work closely with EPC contractors, consultants, and vendors to ensure timely completion of electrical works as per schedule
∎ Ensure all electrical systems are designed and installed as per standard rules and plant safety norms
∎ Conduct electrical load calculations, cable sizing, and power system studies
∎ Review electrical drawings, single-line diagrams (SLD), and control schematics for accuracy and compliance
∎ Coordinate with the mechanical, instrumentation, and process teams to ensure smooth integration of electrical systems
∎ Monitor and resolve site issues related to cable laying, grounding, power factor correction, and panel installations
∎ Lead pre-commissioning and commissioning of electrical systems, ensuring all tests are conducted
∎ Implement energy management and power distribution strategies to optimize plant efficiency
∎ Ensure the safe energization of plant equipment and provide troubleshooting support during start-up
∎ Monitor the performance of motors, VFDs, MCC panels, PLC/DCS power supplies, and other electrical assets
∎ Develop preventive and predictive maintenance plans for electrical systems post-commissioning
∎ Identify and resolve electrical faults, failures, and power quality issues
∎ Ensure compliance with electrical safety regulations, statutory norms, and industrial best practices
∎ Implement earthing and lightning protection systems as per standards
∎ Supervise electrical risk assessments and safety audits.
∎ Monitor documentation for inspection reports, test certificates, and compliance records
