Job Context:

As part of its expansion and commitment to excellence, the company seeks competent candidate for the "Junior Officer (DC & Power Room Monitoring)" position.
∎ The primary responsibility will be to monitor and ensure the smooth operation of the data center and power room infrastructure. Have to play a vital role in maintaining optimal performance, availability, and security of the systems within the data center and power room. The duties will involve real-time monitoring, incident management, and coordination with relevant stakeholders to address issues and ensure uninterrupted operations.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Monitor the performance and health of data center infrastructure, including servers, storage systems, networking equipment, and environmental controls.
∎ Utilize monitoring tools and software to track system metrics, such as temperature, humidity, power usage, and network connectivity.
∎ Proactively identify and escalate to seniors to troubleshoot the potential issues or anomalies.
∎ Respond to alarms and alerts in a timely manner, for investigating and resolving any identified issues.
∎ Monitor the performance and health of power room infrastructure, including power distribution units (PDUs), uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), generators, and electrical systems.
∎ Monitor power consumption, load levels, and voltage stability.
∎ Identify and address any power-related issues or abnormalities.
∎ Collaborate with relevant teams to perform preventive maintenance and ensure power availability.
∎ Act as the first point of contact for data center and power room-related incidents and escalations.
∎ Document and track incidents, ensuring accurate and timely communication to stakeholders.
∎ Collaborate with relevant teams to diagnose and resolve incidents, adhering to established SLAs.
∎ Provide regular updates to stakeholders regarding incident status and resolution progress.
∎ Collaborate with the maintenance team to schedule and perform routine maintenance tasks for data center and power room equipment.
∎ Coordinate and oversee equipment upgrades, replacements, or repairs as necessary.
∎ Ensure proper inventory management of spare parts and equipment.
∎ Adhere to security protocols and policies to maintain the integrity and confidentiality of data center operations.
∎ Monitor physical security measures, including access control and surveillance systems.
∎ Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of data center and power room infrastructure, configurations, and operational procedures.
∎ Prepare regular reports on system performance, incidents, and maintenance activities.
∎ Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying areas for enhancement in monitoring processes and procedures.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 35 years
∎ Proven experience in data center operations and monitoring, preferably with exposure to power room infrastructure.
∎ Strong knowledge of data center infrastructure, including servers, storage systems,
∎ networking equipment, and environmental controls.
∎ Familiarity with power room infrastructure, including PDUs, UPS, generators, and electrical systems.
∎ Experience with monitoring tools and software used for real-time tracking of system performance and metrics.
∎ Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to identify and
∎ resolve issues promptly.
∎ Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced
∎ environment.
∎ Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
∎ Knowledge of security protocols and best practices for data center environments.
∎ Willingness to work in shifts and handle on-call duties, as required.
