Additional Requirements:
∎ Experience with cloud-based database services and familiarity with DevOps practices (e.g., CI/CD pipelines).
∎ Strong understanding of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies for database systems.
∎ Proficiency in database performance tuning, indexing, and partitioning to improve system performance.
∎ Expertise in managing and troubleshooting replication technologies, including MySQL Master-Slave Replication, MySQL Group Replication, PostgreSQL Streaming Replication, and Oracle Data Guard.
∎ Experience with Basic Docker and Container Administration, including container deployment, orchestration, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Managed and maintained databases for MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and Microsoft SQL Server, with at least 2 years of experience in MySQL and 1 year of experience in the other listed databases.
∎ Database administration expertise on AWS and other cloud environments, including experience with cloud-based database services.
∎ Develop, implement, and maintain stored procedures, Triggers, and functions to automate database tasks and support business logic.
∎ Set up, manage, and troubleshoot Master-Slave Replication and Group Replication for MySQL, PostgreSQL Streaming Replication, and Oracle Data Guard to ensure data consistency, redundancy, and high availability.
∎ Write and automate database administration tasks using shell scripting and Python.
∎ Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize queries for maximum efficiency.
∎ Perform regular database maintenance, including upgrades, backups, recovery, and patching.
∎ Configure and manage database monitoring tools, such as Percona Monitoring and Management (PMM), to proactively track and resolve performance issues.
∎ Implement and manage backup and recovery solutions to ensure data integrity and high availability.
∎ We are looking for a proactive Junior Database Administrator (DBA) to manage, maintain, and optimize modern database systems. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience as a MySQL DBA, along with 1+ years of experience in Oracle, PostgreSQL, and Microsoft SQL Server database administration. RHCSA (Red Hat Certified System Administrator) and OCA (Oracle Certified Associate) certifications are highly desirable.
