Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Perform laboratory tests as per physicians’ requests and immigration medical examination guidelines.
∎ Collect, label, and store blood, urine, and other specimens following strict identity verification procedures.
∎ Ensure the proper handling, processing, and transportation of specimens to accredited laboratories.
∎ Maintain proper records of laboratory tests and report findings accurately in eMedical or other reporting systems.
∎ Ensure all laboratory equipment is calibrated, well-maintained, and functional.
∎ Adhere to infection control and laboratory safety guidelines, ensuring a clean and sterile working environment.
∎ Properly dispose of hazardous and biological waste in compliance with regulations.
∎ Maintain optimum temperature and storage conditions for lab reagents and samples.
∎ Accurately document all laboratory findings and test results.
∎ Ensure all procedures and laboratory standards are followed and updated as per guidelines.
∎ Support the quality assurance process through participation in internal and external audits.
∎ Assist in procurement planning for laboratory supplies and ensure timely requisition of materials.

∎ Purpose of the Role
∎ The Lab Assistant is responsible for performing laboratory tests and procedures in support of Immigration Medical Examinations (IME) and Departure Health Checks (DHC). This role includes specimen collection, testing, maintaining laboratory equipment, and ensuring compliance with international health and safety guidelines.

∎ Contract Duration: Till 31st August 2025 (with high possibility of extension)
