∎ The candidate should have a Diploma in Medical Technology with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 or 2nd division/ class or equivalent result in all academic examinations from any recognized institution.

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Setting up and undertaking controlled experiments and investigations
∎ Collecting, preparing and/or testing samples and calibrating instruments
∎ Recording and analyzing data
∎ Demonstrating procedures
∎ Maintaining, calibrating, cleaning and testing sterility of the equipment
∎ Writing reports, reviews and summarize data
∎ Using technical equipment to safely draw blood from patients from Center and home
∎ Explaining the process of drawing blood clearly to a patient
∎ Reassuring and calming patients who might be nervous or scared of the procedure
∎ Applying dressings to the wound created by drawing blood
∎ Sending blood samples to testing laboratories with proper labeling
∎ Keeping track of blood samples and results that are returned after testing
∎ Maintaining an organized and clean work area based on health and safety regulations and the guidelines
∎ Answering patient questions regarding collection techniques and offering additional resources on the collection process if the patient requests them
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
