Educational Requirements:
∎ Three years’ “Diploma in Laboratory Technology” from government recognized institute.
∎ Skills Required: Internet Browsing, MS Excel, MS Word

Job Responsibilities:
∎ According to medical prescription, preparing and performing clinical exams/tests with appropriate techniques and following MSF protocols and procedures. This function includes, among others :
∎ Taking blood samples;
∎ Centrifuging blood and urine samples;
∎ Performing laboratory exams (serology, haematology, biochemistry, bacteriology or parasitological, according to context of the mission);
∎ Ensuring proper reporting and registration of the sample results in order to keep a written track of activity and give information to the relevant persons, ensuring confidentiality;
∎ Taking care, manage and organize efficiently the laboratory material/equipment;
∎ Perform cleaning and minor maintenance for biomedical equipment used. Following the user manual and protocols and alert supervisor in case of malfunctioning;
∎ Applying hygiene and safety protocols, doing daily cleaning /maintenance, sterilization, washing general glassware after procedures are done;
∎ Ensuring proper sample waste disposal according to MSF protocols and highest safety standards;
∎ Supplying orders, do stock, storage conditions follow-up, keep inventory;
∎ Keeping organized the data collection system of laboratory results and all information generated from the analysis done;
∎ Reporting all relevant information linked to the activity in the laboratory to the line manager, especially the loss/robbery/damage of laboratory equipment or medicines;
∎ Performing minor maintenance and cleaning of the biomedical equipment following user manual and protocols. Alerting the supervisor in case of malfunctioning of any device. List item;
∎ Working closely with medical team (MAs, MDs and nurses) maintaining the proper communication and teamwork;
∎ Performing laboratory exams according to MSF guidelines;
∎ Ensuring proper handover with the colleagues;
∎ Maintaining registers and files updated taking care that registers are correctly filled in;
∎ Participating actively reporting the laboratory activities (files, forms, patient cards, statistics, reports)
∎ Contributes towards the develoment of SOP for laboratory and ensures strict adherence to the SOP
∎ Performing trainings for nurses about RDT tests
∎ Performs Viral load testing for Hepatitis C patients at OCP facility/at JMS in future,in colaboration with coleagues on rotation basis
∎ Maintaining the stock of tests and stationary order organized and controlled;
∎ Following up with the level of stock with supervisor to addere to the contingency plan when necessary avoiding ruptures;
∎ Reporting immediately to the line manager ruptures, loss, robery in the stock and damage of the machines;
∎ Keeping confidentiality about the results of the lab exams, following the stablished routines to avoid exposure of the patient;
∎ Handles the patient with care and respect during the sample collection;
∎ Using the correct PPE to avoid contamination and cross infection;
∎ Keeping the workstation clean and tidy according to the routines;
∎ Refering to the supervisor patient complaints.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Female candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
∎ Relevant experience in NGO will be an added advantage.
∎ English and Bengali are essential, Chittagonian is desirable.

Salary:
∎ Tk. 47477 (Monthly)
∎ Salary is not negotiable. The mentioned amount of salary is before income tax deduction and without seniority.
