∎ Age at most 50 years
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): NGO, Research Organization.
∎ strong focus on food security and livelihood programming, preferably with national or international organizations operating in riverine char and coastal regions of Bangladesh.
∎ Prior experience in climate-smart agriculture; cattle, goat & poultry rearing activities; high value crops/ food production and non-crop IGA interventions contexts is highly desirable.
∎ Experience in organize livelihood and IGA related technical training, business planning and market linkage interventions.
∎ Demonstrated experience in coordination and collaboration with government officials, private sector actors, market actors, community beneficiaries and donors.
∎ Strong facilitation and supervision skills to guide field staff as well as project staffs and management effectively.
∎ Proven team-building capacity with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.
∎ Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Bengali.
∎ Able to operate virtual communication platforms such as Zoom, Skype, Microsoft Teams, etc.
∎ Proficient in computer applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
∎ Respectful and committed to principles of gender equality, Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA), safeguarding, code of conduct, and cultural diversity.

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ The Livelihood Officer will serve as the key focal point for project implementation at the Union/Upazila level and will report directly to the Team Leader. S/he will be responsible for leading and managing the team, ensuring timely and quality implementation of planned activities, and managing resources efficiently under the guidance of the Team Leader as well as NGO Forum management.
∎ Key Responsibilities:
∎ Identify eligible households as per beneficiary selection criteria for several livelihood and IGA interventions in the project location.
∎ S/he should provide technical guidance, prepare training materials and extend training on agriculture (including livestock & aquaculture) and non-agricultural interventions (IGAs).
∎ Assess household needs and coordinate the distribution of agricultural inputs such as cattle, goat, sheep, poultry, duck, pigeon, seeds, sapling, organic fertilizers, feed, tools and so on.
∎ Support to procure several agricultural inputs and ensure quality of the product as per specifications.·       Build the capacity of field facilitators, project staffs and beneficiaries in terms of animal & poultry rearing, homestead gardening and aquaculture and to ensure technology adoption by the communities.
∎ S/he will review and provide feedback to the project on relevant interventions and investments in the context of climate change adaptation and mitigation.
∎ Prepare and submit quality periodic reports, success stories, presentations and updates to the management.
∎ Capture lessons learned, document best practices, and contribute to knowledge sharing within the project team.
∎ Facilitate project-related meeting, monthly team coordination meetings, and review meetings at the Upazila/central level.
∎ It is a field-based position but have to frequent visit to upazila parishad/govt. officials.
∎ Perform any other duties as per recommended by supervisor.
