Job Context:
∎ The purpose of this position is to support in designing and implementing the ECD projects, ensuring timely and quality delivery of the project activities in the BI operating countries. The candidate will also assist the fundraising team to write concept notes and proposals for donors, review and analyze existing projects` technical reports and provide technical guidance to implement the ECD projects.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Resource Mobilization & Grant Management:
∎ Search for new funding opportunities & review request for proposal (RFP) guidelines and prepare a summary.
∎ Provide inputs in the technical sections of concept notes, proposals and budgets in coordination with country programme teams, finance teams, HR teams and affiliates.
∎ Provide necessary support for finalizing and getting approval on the proposal and budget.
∎ Facilitate the approval and signing of grant agreement.
∎ Read the grant agreements carefully and ensure compliance with grant agreements.
∎ Coordinate with country programme teams, finance teams, BRAC IED, BRAC USA/BRAC UK for preparing donor reports and proposal development issues.
∎ Collect country specific donor reports and review, edit, collate the narrative and financial donor reports with support from finance team and submit before the deadlines.
∎ Technical Support and coordination:
∎ Prepare / review / edit materials (e.g. manuals, guidelines, agenda, handouts etc.) for capacity development workshops/training.
∎ Design/participate in training/workshop/conference/research/ presentation/seminar meeting /field visit related to ECD programme.
∎ Review country policy papers and other literature relevant to ECD/Education sector.
∎ Review/adapt/develop training manuals/guidelines and IEC &BCC materials for programme.
∎ Review/adapt/develop curriculum, teachers' guide, parenting module etc.
∎ Support country teams in preparing operational guidelines (programme implementation plan /operational manual, risk registers, monthly reporting format M&E guideline etc.).
∎ Review and update Internal Compliance Questionnaire (ICQ).
∎ Follow up implementation progress by reviewing workplan, budget, results framework, logframe etc. on a monthly basis with the country project teams.
∎ Coordinate field visit/workshops/donor visits in collaboration with the relevant departments and country programmes.
∎ Coordinate technical support requirements with BRAC IED.
∎ Organize/conduct training/capacity building initiatives for the country ECD teams as and when required.
∎ Work in collaboration with the research team (IERC) and BIED to agree upon research designs, timely delivery of research and evaluation reports, review reports and provide feedback.
∎ Visit country programmes in a timely manner (quarterly to six monthly and/or as required), identify and discuss quality implementation related issues/challenges and way forward.
∎ Communication and Advocacy:
∎ Review contents for annual reports of BI countries.
∎ Provide support to communication team in any other communication material development (video, website content etc.).
∎ Review contents for project brochures and review contents for annual diary.
∎ Write/review/edit blogs, case stories, newspaper articles on ECD projects/outcomes/impact.
∎ Present/participate/represent BRAC's ECD work in relevant international/national webinars, conferences, seminars etc.
∎ Others (Safeguarding):
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme's goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Sound knowledge of policies and trends with regard to Education and Early Childhood Development fields nationally and globally.
∎ Well informed about the literature pertaining to education and child development issues in low-income countries, particularly where BRAC International operates.
∎ Knowledge of effective programme practices in early child development sector.
∎ Knowledge of systems, sector priorities, learning resources available, stakeholders and networks with regard to ECD sector in BI countries.
∎ Knowledge and understanding of curriculum development and training in the field of Early Childhood Education and Development.
∎ Strong knowledge and understanding of research methodologies of Early Childhood Education and Development.
∎ 2 to 3 years of experience in working directly in Early Childhood Development programmes.
∎ 2 to 3 years of experience working in education sector.
∎ Overall, 3 to 5 years of working in project management/implementation/technical assistance/research in the development sector.
∎ Experience of working in multi-cultural environment will have an added value.
∎ Experience of working in emergency context will have added value.
