∎ Age 25 to 45 years
∎ Proven track record of designing and implementing successful hygiene promotion interventions in diverse settings.
∎ Strong knowledge of hygiene principles, Water, sanitation, including Solid Waste Management.
∎ Experience in training and capacity building, particularly in the context of behavior change.
∎ Excellent communication, networking, interpersonal, and facilitation skills.
∎ Ability to work effectively in multicultural teams and with diverse communities.
∎ Proficiency in relevant software applications, including Microsoft Office suite.
∎ Professional work experience in humanitarian project implementation, monitoring, and reporting.
∎ Working in Humanitarian Assistance and Emergency Response Program.
Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Work closely with project management for Hygiene Promotion activities to ensuring the better health in the operation areas to reduce the risk of water and excreta related communicable diseases by promoting proper hygiene practice.
∎ Develop comprehensive hygiene promotion strategies and plans in alignment with project objectives and target populations.
∎ Conduct assessments to identify hygiene practices, behaviors, and challenges within the community.
∎ Design behavior change communication materials, including posters, leaflets, and audio-visual aids, to promote good hygiene practices.
∎ Collaborate with community leaders, local organizations, and stakeholders to ensure the effective implementation of hygiene promotion activities.
∎ Train and supervise hygiene promotion staff and volunteers, providing guidance on messaging, methodologies, and approaches.
∎ Monitor and evaluate the impact of hygiene promotion interventions, collecting data on behavior change indicators and hygiene practices.
∎ Provide regular reports on the progress of hygiene promotion activities, highlighting achievements, challenges, and lessons learned.
∎ Liaise with other project teams, including water and sanitation, health, and education, to integrate hygiene promotion efforts and maximize impact.
∎ Stay updated on best practices, research findings, and innovations in hygiene promotion, incorporating new insights into program design and implementation.
∎ Ensure compliance with organizational policies, donor requirements, and ethical standards in all hygiene promotion activities.
∎ Collect document and share lessons learned and success stories in relation to hygiene.
∎ Visit the working camps regularly and provide on site mentoring of the hygiene team at field.
∎ Participate in hygiene Campaign, day observations at the Camp level.
∎ Act as a link between the organization and the beneficiaries.
