Transport Management
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Plan, organize and manage the work of subordinate staff to ensure transport operation related work is accomplished in a manner consistent with organizational requirements and report to superior.
∎ Collaborate with other departmental managers and staff members in order to formulate and implement required & necessary support with policies, procedures and objectives.
∎ Monitor & support internal-external delivery and import operations to ensure with administrative policies and procedures and regulations.
∎ Analyze expenditures and other financial information in order to develop plans, policies, and budgets for minimizing expenses and improving all internal-external services.
∎ Organize emergency repair and handling of accidental cases.
∎ Monitor strongly issue of fuel as approved by the management.
∎ Organize KPL test for loaded and empty vehicles and record in vehicle log-Book. Also ensure vehicle log and duty slips are maintained properly.
∎ Coordinate with supply chain department and work out day to day services (Daily TPT Plan) to maintain image of the company and commitment of marketing team.
∎ Ensure all vehicles moves with updated/valid documents and settle police case (if any) quickly.
∎ Submit a daily list of operational vehicles and likely to be operational same day by 9 am every day.
∎ Negotiate and authorize contracts with third party vendor if necessary for logistics support.
∎ Monitoring and solve all kind of Truck Operational issues. e.g., Billing, VTS, Documentation & Port related duties.
∎ Solve workshop related issues & report to HOD logistics operation.
∎ Arrange vehicle to carry all types of imported goods from the port with nominated C & F.
∎ Check drivers & helpers daily & monthly attendance.
∎ Any other task assigned by superior authority
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 35 to 45 years
∎ Sincere, honest and well behaved.
∎ Excellent technical knowledge on vehicle systems & performance.
∎ Computer literacy (MS Word and MS Excel) is must.
∎ Knowledge on traffic rules and function of different parts of a vehicle.
∎ Hardworking and can manage stressful situations.
∎ Having a valid driving license, knowing proper driving, having good knowledge on automobile will be preferred.
∎ The candidate should have experience in dealing with concerned government agencies like BRTA & Police Traffic Department etc.
