∎ The candidate must hold an M.Sc./ MS in Agriculture/ Agronomy/ Crop Botany/ Entomology/ Plant pathology / Genetics & plant breeding/Agricultural Chemistry/ Agriculture Economics/ Agriculture Extension with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 or the equivalent of a second class / division, or comparable academic standing in all examinations from a recognized university
∎ An MBA qualification will be considered an added advantage

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Direct and manage the comprehensive activities of the silkworm egg production center and sericulture farms, encompassing mulberry cultivation, silkworm rearing, and cocoon harvesting, ensuring optimal productivity and sustainability
∎ Administer the operations of silk reeling, spinning, and weaving centers, implementing quality enhancement measures to elevate product standards and meet industry benchmarks
∎ Facilitate seamless integration and coordination among silk weaving and fabric production centers, maintaining the integrity and efficiency of the silk value chain
∎ Guarantee a consistent and high-quality supply of essential raw materials, including cocoons and raw silk, to support uninterrupted production processes
∎ Lead initiatives for staff development, focusing on technical proficiency, managerial acumen, and effective communication, fostering a competent and cohesive team environment
∎ Formulate and execute annual budgets and business plans, oversee financial accounts, and implement cost-control strategies to ensure fiscal responsibility and organizational profitability
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so
∎ Perform any other jobs as assigned by the management
