Responsibilities & Context:
∎ • Responsible for overall SIL Industrial Engineering function & activities.
∎ • SIL has 27 lines sewing lines, around 1800 direct manning & periodically avg. 50 QCO, with 450 manning finishing & packing, 280 manning cutting, 138 manning Sample room.
∎ • Manning Budgeting / Forecasting from fabric warehouse stage to finished goods shipment stage.
∎ • Embellishment plan execution for smooth production flow, ensuring 13th weeks Embroidery, Heat Transfer requirements & manning allocation to meet production demand & on time delivery.
∎ • Continuous upgradation SMV DATA BANK for best operation /process to enhance business productivity.
∎ • Finalized best sewing & finishing SMV to make optimum utilization balancing paper layout & workstation layout.
∎ • Establish QCO team & ensure 95% overall plants QCO hit rate.
∎ • Newness training program for upcoming products to achieve QCO & learning curve.
∎ • Emphasize pre-production activities Risk Analysis, Sample handover meeting, method finalization for pre-setting & training plan.
∎ • Every day circulate pre-setting critical operation training plan to expedite line feeding.
∎ • Redesigned plant layout, ladder & product family learning curve activities and ensure increased sewing efficiency with existing man, machines.
∎ • Training & Development program for Production staff for continuous productivity improvement as well as business sustainability and goal.
∎ • Implementation & Monitoring Input Supermarket process, procedure to maintain standard WIP with KANBAN card concept.
∎ • Follow Up & Monitoring TNA Swatch cut to finished goods.
∎ • Track and monitor factory operation & bottleneck point and taking initiative to solve it for smooth production flow.
∎ • Coordinate production workflow & all supportive activities to achieve the business goal.
∎ • Implementation KAIZEN concept in Shop floor by weekly continuous improvement program ECP (EKTA CHOTO PORIBORTON).
∎ • Ensuring Finishing line production process similar like Sewing line procedure.
∎ • Weekly production performance review production staff, IE, Technical & mechanic.
∎ • Co-ordinate with others section/department HOD’s to achieve management tasks/goal for sustainable business.
∎ • Operator skill level monthly basis and corrective action to train potential worker for upcoming business requirements.
∎ • Recommends the best methods of space, manpower, material, and equipment utilization in production facilities.
∎ • Train the supervisors to be able to identify where potential problems may occur and prevent these from happening.
∎ • Analyze, control, and reduce cost and wastage in an effective and efficient manner.
∎ • Establish and maintain operational guidelines, procedures, and practices.
∎ • Monitor operational performance and improve existing performance through process and technology improvement.
∎ • Establish and implement departmental policies, goals, objectives, and procedures, conferring with the Company policies, and determine staffing needs.
