Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 2 year(s)
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s):
Dockyard, Shipping Industry Preferable
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Planning and supervising the construction of vessels
∎ To lead the construction of the ship according to the plan drawing.
∎ Negotiating project timescales and specifications with the Contractor.
∎ The senior officer should be informed daily about the progress of the ship-building work.
∎ The percentage of progress of the shipbuilding work has to be ascertained.
∎ According to the shipbuilding work, the demand for goods should be created.
∎ Requisition of required goods should be forwarded to the purchase department as per time.
∎ Shipbuilding workers must be managed.
∎ Ensure the purchase of correct goods in coordination with the purchase department.
∎ Purchased goods should be received in coordination with the purchasing department.
∎ Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety laws/standards.
∎ Write reports and do documentation as required.
∎ The orders of the superior officers must be obeyed.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 20 to 45 years
∎ Only males are allowed to apply
∎ Knowledge of New Ship Building.
