∎ Proficient in Chittagonian Dialect and good command of understanding and speaking of Rohingya dialect. Intermediate understanding of English and Bengali (Reading, writing, and listening).
∎ The incumbent should be skilled in Data entry and should be well versed in using online data collection platforms (KOBO/ODK/ComCare).
∎ Graduation in any subject area (preferably in Social Science).
∎ At least 2 years of experience related to hotline number management and data entry.
∎ Understanding of and dedication to the principles of Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) and safeguarding in a humanitarian context. This knowledge is essential for maintaining the safety and well-being of those served.
∎ Familiarity with the principles and standards that guide humanitarian work, ensuring that services provided align with established humanitarian values.
∎ Understanding the concept of accountability to affected populations emphasizes the responsibility to involve and respond to the needs and concerns of the communities being served.
∎ Effective communication is vital for interacting with clients, collaborators, and the community clearly and patiently.

∎ Purpose
∎ The job description (JD) outlines the responsibilities of the position with a focus on hotline management, data entry, and reporting, along with specific requirements and qualifications.
∎ Job Responsibilities
∎ Hotline Management:
∎ The IRC maintains a hotline number to handle and respond to the feedback and complaints received from their clients/collaborators/partners to strengthen their client responsiveness and ensure accountability to the affected population. The hotline number modality is set to 24/7. This position will be assigned to handle the hotline number which are activities such as - answering hotline calls from clients/collaborators, registering feedback and complaints in the ComCare (online data collection platform), and providing available information to clients/collaborators/community to respond to their queries as per interpersonal and humanitarian guidelines.
∎ Data Entry:
∎ One of the major responsibilities of this position will be engaging in keeping a tight loop of complaints/feedback on a day-to-day basis. This position will be responsible for checking the pending complaint/feedback (received through all kinds of channels) in the dashboard and Comcare and making a (weekly) list for the program team to give reminders about the closing of the complaint. The MEAL assistant (Accountability) will ensure that there are no overdue cases left in the system (outstanding cases will be considered).
∎ Reporting:
∎ Weekly checking of key metrics, trends, and notable incidents in the dashboard and preparing a list for actionable activities and reporting to the supervisor. Along with this, preparing a bi-weekly report on the suggestion box’s complaints by visiting and coordinating with other colleagues regarding opening the suggestion box will be an assigned task for this position.
∎ Other:
∎ Carry out any other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the Accountability and Knowledge Management Specialist and the Senior Accountability Officer. This may involve additional duties related to data management and accountability.
