∎ Master of Social Science (MSS), Master of Science (MSc) in Statistics

Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 9 year(s)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Designing, Planning, and Monitoring-25%
∎ Develop and review M&E plan, M&E framework, and LFA for different projects and programs
∎ Contribute to developing M&E guidelines for various projects & programs
∎ Contribute to developing concept notes and project proposal
∎ Contribute to developing country strategic plan, and quarterly and annual projects and programs plans
∎ Develop different qualitative and quantitative methods, tools, and strategies for monitoring and evaluating and research projects and programs of Islamic Relief Bangladesh
∎ Coordinate field visits and monitor the projects regularly
∎ Contribute to developing an information management system for IRB
∎ Research and Evaluation-25%
∎ Coordinate and manage to conduct baseline survey, need assessment, feasibility study, Result Based Management/RBM, midterm and final evaluation, and impact study for various projects and programs
∎ Contribute to conducting research and action research
∎ Provide technical support to various projects and programs on monitoring and evaluation, need assessment, and managing research
∎ Reporting-15%
∎ Coordinate the monthly report of the MEAL unit, monthly & yearly Complaint & Feedback report, etc.
∎ Coordinate to generate quality research reports, monitoring, and evaluation reports and field visit reports, and any other reports
∎ To disseminate reports and study findings with country management
∎ Contribute to preparing monthly reports, quarterly narrative reports, and annual reports for all projects and programs
∎ Capacity building and Strategic Development-5%
∎ Coordinate and facilitate training and workshops on planning, monitoring, evaluation, Complaint & Feedback Mechanism, data management, and other development issues for staff capacity building
∎ Contribute organize dissemination workshops with management as well as other stakeholders
∎ Coordinate IRB partnership screening and development work
∎ Contribute to developing and updating IRB business plan, Country strategy, etc.
∎ Accountability and Learning-10%
∎ Coordinate the Complaint & Feedback Mechanism (CFM), maintain data based on complaints or cases, feedback as well as maintain CFM log book, CFM monthly and quarterly report, etc. as a CFM focal of IR Bangladesh
∎ Coordinate Core humanitarian Standard/CHS audit process as a CHS focal of Islamic Relief Bangladesh
∎ Coordinate the IHSAN process as an IHSAN Focal point of Islamic Relief Bangladesh
∎ Contribute to record and report on overall Risk Management of Islamic Relief Bangladesh in terms of project and program
∎ Contribute to coordinating, organizing, facilitating, and documentation lesson learning workshops of different projects and program
∎ Contribute to organizing annual learning and sharing meetings of various projects and program
∎ Coordinate accumulating learning of all IRB's projects or programs
∎ Coordination-5%
∎ Represent IRB to donors, government, UN agencies, and other NGOs concerning the projects, including participation in consultative meetings with other partners
∎ Ensure coordination and integration across various sectors and approaches in the working areas in different projects and programs
∎ Staff Management & Development-10%
∎ Provide leadership and direction to the MEAL department through pro-active engagement, communication, and direction
∎ Develop strategic objectives and work plan of the unit through active participation of the team member.
∎ Ensuring that each member of the team fully understands the outcomes that are expected of them and they are aware of the success criteria which pertain to their work.
∎ Ensuring that work is planned and organized in a way that will meet the needs of staff at the Islamic Relief Country Office and in project areas in the most cost-effective manner possible.
∎ Ensuring that team members are given appropriate workloads and are working efficiently.
∎ Supporting team members to enable them to give their best e.g. by encouraging and Praising good performance, Coaching, assisting staff to prevent or resolve problems, and providing resources, tools, and equipment.
∎ Monitoring and reviewing performance and, in particular, holding staff accountable for meeting the success criteria and delivering any improvement goals which have been identified; giving corrective feedback where required, and taking decisive action in the case of poor performance.
∎ Ensuring that staff is adequately trained and developed for their roles e.g. by analyzing staff training needs, organizing the delivery of training or coaching, and coordinating the sharing of experience.
∎ Others-5%
∎ Willing and able to travel frequently for extended periods and to remote areas of the projects and able to travel frequently for extended periods and to remote areas of projects.
∎ Participate & involved with seasonal programs (Ramadan, Qurbani, Winterization, etc.) activities.
∎ Perform any other duties assigned by Supervisor
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation to achieve the program’s goals of safeguarding implementation and as well as Act as a key source of support, guidance, and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Being a member of Islamic Relief as a child-friendly organization, it is the core responsibility and obligation of each staff member to understand and obey IR Child Protection & PSEA Policy and respond accordingly as and when required.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Experience in working with:
∎ Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and learning-related functions;
∎ Leadership experience and proven technical skills in setting up quality MEAL system that leads to evidence-based decision-making for multi-sectorial and multi-donor funded programs;
∎ Mobile data collection such as Kobo, as well as proficiency with Microsoft Excel; SPSS, SATA, or other similar software
∎ Excellent Reading/Writing/Speaking/Listening skills for English & Bengali
