Educational Requirements:
∎ The candidate should have a Diploma in Medical Assistant with a minimum CGPA 2.50 or 2nd division/ class or equivalent result in all academic examinations from any recognized institution.
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 1 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Explain procedures and provide emotional support.
∎ Assist patients in understanding their condition and medications.
∎ Collaborate with Medical Doctors in health examinations.
∎ Ensures equipment operates correctly and arranges maintenance.
∎ Administer medications or injections as directed by physicians.
∎ Safely draw blood and other samples from patients.
∎ Explain the blood collection process and reassure nervous patients.
∎ Apply dressings to wounds created during blood collection.
∎ Maintain records of samples and test results.
∎ Sterilize and maintain medical instruments and equipment.
∎ Prepare and maintain examination and treatment rooms
∎ Ensure compliance with infection control protocols.
∎ Assist in minor surgical procedures and examinations.
∎ Schedule patient appointments and manage patient records.
∎ Handle billing, coding, and related paperwork.
∎ Manage electronic health records (EHR) and update patient charts.
∎ Answer phone calls and provide information or schedule appointments.
∎ Monitor and order medical supplies and medications as needed.
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
