Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Reports to Supervisor
∎ Conducting the following tests:
∎ Complete Blood Count (CBC), Bleeding Time (BT), Clotting Time (CT)
∎ Routine Urine Examination (RME)
∎ Routine Stool Examination (RME)
∎ Gram Staining
∎ Acid-Fast Bacilli (AFB) examination on Sputum
∎ Blood Grouping and Rh Typing
∎ Random Blood Sugar (RBS)
∎ Hepatitis B Surface Antigen (HBsAg), Anti-Hepatitis C Virus (Anti-HCV)
∎ Providing diagnostic reports and managing stock inventory.
∎ Specimen testing as per SOP.
∎ Maintaining equipment and reagents
∎ Reporting routine and urgent tests and on time delivery of reports
∎ Recording and storing of laboratory data
∎ Maintaining health and safety regulations – infection prevention and waste disposal practices
∎ Indenting for lab-ware and consumables
∎ Must oblige by MCP, TIAHRT and Helms policy and maintain it strictly.
∎ Compiling activity reports and submitting them to relevant authorities.
