Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor’s degree in public health. Being a BMDC registered medical/ paramedical health professional will be of advantage.
∎ Skills Required: Internet Browsing, MS Excel, MS Office

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Representing MSF in the IPC committee of Cox’s Bazar Sadar Hospital and assist the Sadar IPC team in defining, implementing and monitoring of IPC activities already put in place by MSF and building up on those as appropriate, based on need and feasibility.
∎ Assisting the Hospital IPC team in setting up monitoring mechanisms for IPC activities, analysing the results, identifying priorities and proposing solutions when necessary.
∎ Providing technical support to Sadar hospital IPC team on implementation of “Standard IPC precautions” and also on “Transmission-based precautions (TBP)”.
∎ Supporting Sadar hospital IPC team in establishment of and monitoring of Hospital Associated Infection (HAI) surveillance system, if the hospital decides to have one for chosen conditions.
∎ In collaboration with Sadar hospital IPC team and World Health Organization to prepare IPC training modules and conduct training sessions (and refreshers) for both clinical and non-clinical employees of the hospital.
∎ Assisting Sadar Hospital IPC team in carrying out of need-based training sessions on Aseptic procedures and waste segregation at its origin.
∎ Providing technical assistance to the Sadar hospital IPC team when it is required.
∎ Supporting Sadar IPC team on effective monitoring of routine IPC activities through use of routinely used different checklists, forms and monitoring tools (IPCAF, daily IPC activity monitoring checklist, HHOT etc.)
∎ Assisting the IPC team in organization of monthly IPC committee meeting and biweekly link nurse meetings.
∎ With direct support from MSF maintenance agent, ensuring that the waste zone and laundry are performing at optimum level.
∎ Taking part in IPC working group meeting and Sadar hospital round table meetings.
∎ Supporting the Sadar hospital IPC team in management of Sadar IPC stock, estimation of monthly need and placement of IPC requests to relevant organization (IOM) at agreed upon interval.
∎ Preparation of monthly activity report on identified indicators to MSF.
∎ Should be flexible enough and to be available to cover existing Jamtoli project of MSF-OCB if required. The responsibilities might cover the roles of an IPC supervisor (project specific) and also as an IPC technical resource person.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Those having no experience in secondary/ tertiary level public hospital are required to have at least 4 years of similar experiences with international organizations in an integrated primary or secondary health care clinic or in a hospital;
∎ Female candidates are strongly encouraged to apply;
∎ Bangla fluent in writing and speaking. Professional level competencies (written and oral) in English;
∎ Use of application-based IPC monitoring tools.
∎ Diplomacy, networking and active listener;
∎ Good communication (presentations & meetings, reporting, …) and interpersonal skills;
∎ Stress management, strategic and oriented to quality and results;
∎ Able to conduct training sessions on a wide range of IPC topics independently;
∎ Flexibility required in job location and duty hours according to needs and emergency.

Salary:
∎ Tk. 111840 (Monthly)
∎ Salary is not negotiable. The mentioned amount of salary is before income tax deduction and without seniority.

Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ Medical allowance, Weekly 2 holidays
∎ 2 annual leave days per month worked.
∎ Contract will be effective until 31/12/2022.
