Education:
∎ B.Sc or Diploma in Medical Technology recognized by state medical faculty with minimum two(02) year experience in relevant area.

Requirements:

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Verify the readiness of the equipment by checking the Ready LED indicator; inform the medical physicist or biomedical engineer if it's not glowing and log the issue.
∎ Receive and dispatch inpatients by filling out tracer charts from patient files.
∎ Enter patient details (name, age, sex, region of X-ray, etc.) into the CR/DR system.
∎ Prepare patients for X-ray contrast studies by ensuring necessary paperwork (consent forms, medical history, old documents) is completed.
∎ Provide hospital gowns for females and linen sheets for males, as required.
∎ Instruct patients to remove any radio-opaque materials in the area being investigated.
∎ Request patients to hand over valuables to their attendants, for both outpatients and inpatients.
∎ For unconscious patients, valuables must be removed under the supervision of the corresponding sister or attendant.
∎ Apply techniques and knowledge to minimize radiation exposure to patients, the public, and healthcare personnel in line with the ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principle.
∎ After taking the X-ray as per the requisition, check processed films before informing patients of the results.
∎ For outpatients, inform them about the report collection time, and for inpatients, notify them that the report will be dispatched to their ward.
∎ Follow appointment scheduling and post-procedure processes for contrast studies.
∎ Prepare processed films by labeling and packaging them correctly.
∎ Follow instructions from the In-charge and Head of Department (HOD) strictly.
∎ Perform additional tasks as required by departmental rules and regulations.

∎ Bangladesh Specialized Hospital PLC is looking for a dedicated Medical Technologist-X-ray to operate X-ray equipment for diagnostic and treatment purposes. The role involves preparing and positioning patients, ensuring equipment maintenance, adhering to safety protocols, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals. The successful candidate will also be responsible for analyzing X-ray results and managing the supply inventory.
