Additional Requirements:

∎ Education and other qualifications:
∎ - Essential: C grade pharmacist certificate
∎ - Desirable Pharmacy-related Degree or Diploma
∎ Experience:
∎ - Working experience of at least 6 months as a drug dispenser or in a pharmacy-related job is essential.
∎ Language:
∎ - Bangla and Chittagonian/Rohingya language are essential and English desirable.
∎ Knowledge:
∎ - Essential knowledge of basic mathematics and use of measuring equipment.
∎ - Desirable computer literacy (MS word, MS excel).

Requirements:

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ **This is an extension of an already posted vacancy. Already submitted applications are still under review. Applicants living in Cox’s Bazar District will be given priority.**
∎ Main Purpose:
∎ To provide an accurate, timely, and qualitative dispensing service of drugs according to medical prescriptions and MSF protocols, standards, and procedures to improve the patient’s health conditions.
∎
∎ Accountabilities:
∎ - Dispensing medication to patients according to medical prescription, ensuring the medication is labeled with the correctly and clear instructions given
∎ - Adhering to MSF practice policies and procedures for dispensing medicines, in particular those relating to controlled drugs and ensuring respect of confidentiality in dispensing
∎ - Inventory & placing accurate and timely orders with the central stock
∎ - Maintaining accurate dispensing records and regularly reporting them to his/her technical reference. Ensuring returned and out-of-date medication is safely removed
∎ - Organizing and keeping clean the dispensing area and OPD Pharmacy, maintaining dispensary equipment.
∎ - Maintaining the integrity and security of the dispensary by admitting only authorized personnel and ensuring that all medicines are stored as appropriate. Reporting immediately to the technical reference on any problem arising in the service.
∎ - Carrying out Patient Therapeutic Education (PTE) and interacting with patients using a patient-based approach to accompany HepC) patients during their visits.
∎ - Understanding, recording, and informing on any complaint received from patients related to medicine use or side effects.

∎ Context-specific accountabilities:
∎ - Track drug dispensing record according to the patient number
∎ - Replenish the HepC Test and Treat team with reuired materials with Unit supervisor support
∎ - Monitor Cold chain temperature regulalrly and report to supervisor if any alram in logtag.
∎ - Participate in unloading medicine from warehouse.
∎ - Ensure to keep prescription copy in the dispensary and send it to main pharmacy for audit & store.
∎ - Manage pharmacy stock and maintain the First Expiry, First Out (FIFO) method.
∎ - Ensure expired items are returned to the central pharmacy at the end of every month.
∎ - Collaborate with the nursing teams and data processing teams.
∎ - Participate in daily, weekly, or monthly inventory checks under the Unit Supervisor’s guidance.
∎ - Promote rational use of medicine through Good Dispensing Practices.
∎ - Report any quality issues or pharmacovigilance concerns immediately.
∎ - Support in collection of drug from Central Pharmacy.

Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ • This is a temporary position for HEP-C project.
∎ • Initial contract would be for eighteen (18) months.
∎ • Salary per month according to level three (3) of the internal MSF salary grid (BDT 39,000/- gross). Salary is not negotiable.
∎ • 2 annual leave days per month worked.
∎ • Medical insurance for employee and direct dependents based on Health Care Policy
