∎ BSC in Nursing Science and Midwifery

Job Context:
∎ Duty Station/ organization: Mother and Child Health Centre, Teknaf/ Bangladesh Red Crescent society, Population Movement Operation
∎ Reporting to: Medical officer, Mother and Child Health Centre (MCHC)
∎ Period of contract: Fixed term contract for one year, and extension subject to performance and fund availability
∎ Purpose: Provide antenatal care/ post-natal care to mothers and children within a safe environment.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Assist mothers in labor, monitor the condition of the fetus and use knowledge of drugs and pain management.
∎ Receive and attend patients, patient counseling; and provide health education.
∎ Provide full antenatal care, postnatal care at facility.
∎ Identify high risk pregnancies and make referrals to doctors or hospital/UHC.
∎ Ensure use of sterile linen, gauze, cotton, and instruments during delivery.
∎ Ensure proper infection prevention practices including house keeping
∎ Provide screening tests services and Family Planning services (if trained), manage emergencies/complications according to guideline.
∎ Maintain all register and document according to guidance.
∎ Ensure targeted performance with quality.
∎ Ensure timely and correctly reporting of all activities.
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation to achieve the program's goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support,
∎ Maintains patient's confidentiality and protects operations by keeping information private.
∎ Will conduct any other tasks assigned by supervisor.
∎ Duties applicable to all staff:
∎ 1. Actively work towards the achievement of MCHC objectives
∎ 2.Abide by and work in accordance with Red Cross and Red Crescent principles and code of conduct
∎ 3.Perform any other work assigned by line manager
Additional Requirements:
∎ 2 Years Working experience in Hospital/clinic preferable.
∎ Ability to speak, write and understand English and Chittagonian language
∎ Able to work in a multi-culture environment
∎ Able to work during odd hours, capacity to take pressure, flexible to working hours, teamwork, self-motivated, organized, hardworking, and flexible regarding work hour
