Responsibilities & Context:
∎ CODEC is an inheritor of DANIDA Bangladesh derived from couple of project intervention explicitly DANIDA Boat Building Project and Boat Rental Scheme. CODEC has been working as a people centered development organization since 1985.CODEC has been growing and evolving into efficient and effective non-governmental development organization in the coastal area of Bangladesh.From the beginning of its development intervention CODEC started its activities only with the fisherfolk communities but over the period CODEC now extended its working area with other disadvantaged coastal communities along with the fisherfolk community in the exposed coastal districts in Bangladesh.
∎ Community Development Centre (CODEC) invites application for the following positions for our CODEC-Strengthening the protective environment for children, adolescents and youth in the refugee camps and host communities in Cox's Bazar Project (CODEC-UNICEF CP Project)" funded by UNICEF.
∎ Under the supervision of Project Manager-CODEC UNICEF Project; the purpose of the MPC Coordinator is to ensure effective implementation of project intervention in around the safe centers concern to him/her; with all concern personnel among CODEC & UNICEF for the purpose of CODEC UNICEF Project implementation under Cox’s Bazar Region.
∎ a. Monthly meeting with Community Based Child Protection Committee (CBCPC) and engage them in different activities of MPC.
∎ b. Ensure all logistics support including recreational corner materials for MPC’s. Maintain of stock register and kept update.
∎ c. Monitoring Case Management Case Worker regular activities and keep coordination with Case Management Supervisor and Case Management Coordinator.
∎ d. Monitoring and assist Psychosocial Support Facilitator for conducting structure and non-structure psychosocial support activities in both Multipurpose Centre and outreach.
∎ e. Ensure smooth operation of the adolescent club and provide technical assistance to club facilitator for conducting life skill sessions.
∎ f. Conduct Training Need Assessment with designated vocational trainer to determine occupational skill training for adolescent girls and boys and enrolled them in course.
∎ g. Monitor regular training programs conducting in MPC and support vocational trade trainer to improve the quality training.
∎ h. Responsible to implement all types of MPC activities including CP-GBV awareness, dialogue session, campaign and risk mitigation activities assigned by project management.
∎ i. Generate and preserve all type of program report, meeting minutes, action plan at MPC.
∎ j. Received feedback from participants/community and submit to online reporting system and kept record in MPC.
∎ k. Critically analyze the child protection situation around the community, find the gaps and address the scope and initiate prevention activities with guidance from project technical team.
∎ l. Develop periodic qualitative and quantitative report for the project as well as donor requirement as per instruction from project management.
∎ m. Conduct weekly meeting with MPC staffs and ensure weekly activity plan aligned with DIP.
∎ n. Responsible to maintain child friendly environment and free from SEAH in MPC.
∎ o. Responsible to maintain liaison and communication with upazilla level officials of MoWCA, DWA, DSS, MOL, BSS of GoB and other like- minded NGOs and CIC at camp level.
∎ p. Responsible to perform any assigned task from Project Management as per project demand.
∎ q. Implementation of effective MPC related project interventions in the line with project strategy.
∎ r. You will have to abide by the Inter-Agency Standing Committee (IASC)'s six core principles on Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) Policy.
