Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Assist the Category Manager in developing strategic plans for assigned product categories aligned with company goals.
∎ Collaborate with suppliers and the procurement team to source quality products at competitive prices.
∎ Participate in negotiating pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and promotional deals to maximize category profitability.
∎ Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure consistent supply and support category growth initiatives.
∎ Provide data-driven insights and reports to support decision-making on pricing, promotion, and inventory.
∎ Liaise with internal departments including Supply Chain, Sales, Marketing, and Operations to ensure category plans are implemented smoothly.
∎ Track key performance indicators (KPIs) for assigned categories such as sales growth, profit margins, stock health, and supplier performance.
