∎ Supervise and coordinate nursing services in the OPD to ensure smooth patient flow.
∎ Ensure high-quality patient care by implementing best nursing practices.
∎ Monitor patient safety, infection control, and hygiene protocols.
∎ Address patient concerns and provide solutions for service improvement.
∎ Oversee nursing staff, including scheduling, workload distribution, and discipline.
∎ Conduct training programs to enhance nursing skills and knowledge.
∎ Mentor and support junior nurses in professional development.
∎ Ensure compliance with hospital policies, ethical standards, and legal requirements.
∎ Maintain accurate patient records and ensure proper documentation.
∎ Coordinate with doctors, allied health professionals, and administrative staff.
∎ Manage nursing supplies, equipment, and medication stock for OPD services.
∎ Prepare reports and present updates on nursing performance and department needs.
∎ Implement and monitor OPD policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives.
∎ Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and safety regulations.
∎ Conduct audits and evaluations to improve nursing efficiency and patient satisfaction.
∎ Assist in handling medical emergencies in the OPD.
∎ Ensure rapid response during critical situations by coordinating with emergency teams.
∎ Provide guidance on emergency preparedness and risk management strategies

∎ Job Purpose:
∎ The Nurse Matron is responsible for leading and coordinating all nursing services in the Outpatient Department (OPD) to ensure smooth patient flow, high-quality care, and patient satisfaction. This role upholds clinical excellence by implementing best nursing
∎ practices, enforcing infection control protocols, and maintaining safety and hygiene standards. The Nurse Matron oversees the performance and development of the nursing team through effective supervision, training, and mentorship. Additionally, the role ensures proper documentation, resource management, interdepartmental collaboration, and compliance with hospital policies, ethical standards, and legal guidelines. By conducting regular audits, managing emergencies, and driving quality improvement initiatives, the Nurse Matron plays a critical role in enhancing the overall efficiency and effectiveness of OPD services
