∎ MSc after BSc & in Nutrition and Food Science with valid registration from a recognized institution will add an extra advantage.

∎ 2 years of work experience in the Rohingya response in CMAM or IYCF program will be preferred
∎ Written and spoken Bangla Working knowledge of English (oral & written)
∎ Ability to communicate in the Rohingya language (spoken Chittagong dialect)
∎ Female candidates will be preferred
∎ Masters in Nutrition / Public Health will be preferred

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Implementation of comprehensive community-based management of acute malnutrition program for 6-59 months children and PLW at the health facility (Measurer/Record keeper) and community level (CHNWs).
∎ Guide and monitor of the overall nutrition activities of the community health team (CHNW supervisors and CHNWs)
∎ Provide technical support for the nutrition team facilitating referral service for severe/moderate acute malnutrition with/without complications
∎ Provide technical support for IYCF-E activities (IYCF-E-Counseling, Rapid Assessments, GMP)-
∎ Coordinate with the nutrition team in the field operations through proper management of food and non-food commodities
∎ Represent GK in relevant technical meetings and forums in Bhasanchar.-She/he will be responsible for proper record keeping and reporting according to his/her portfolio. Project implementation
∎ Ensure that nutrition measurers are implementing nutritional screening for all eligible children 06-59m and PLW at the Health post in line with the disseminated protocols and guidelines.
∎ Identify challenges, lessons learned, and recommendations for smooth nutrition service implementation.
∎ Work with the health post staff for proper referral to the Integrated Nutrition Centre (INC) and Stabilization Centre (SC).
∎ Build the capacity of the health staff and Outreach team- CHW supervisor, CHWs to do nutrition activities and reporting-
∎ Preparation of Yearly Nutrition Message Dissemination plan (Topics, Messages, and target group)
∎ Before submitting the report, cross-check all the data with the health facility staff to ensure the reliability and consistency of the data
∎ Good communication with the clinical team in terms of problems identified or anything affecting the beneficiaries and/or the program-Assist the staff in the implementation of IYCF-E activities-
∎ Ensure strict adherence to breast milk substitute (BMS) guidelines for beneficiaries
∎ Improve the provision of quality nutrition counseling and education at the health posts and Community level.
∎ Provide training on nutrition to GK staff according to need assessment.
∎ Carry out any additional assignment per her/his position entrusted with the GK Management from time to time and mutually agreed upon.
∎ Management may, at any point in time, modify this job description as it is deemed necessary in Gonoshasthaya Kendra's interests in consultation with the incumbent and the UNHCR.
∎ Due to the emergency response nature of GK's work, hours of work may vary, and employees should be flexible in approaching hours of work in emergency conditions.
∎ The employee must respect the timetable, terms, and conditions of Gonoshasthaya Kendra and should always be available to respond to an emergency.
∎ Job Context:
∎ GK was created in 1972 with two visions. Firstly, “the fate of the poor decides the fate of the country”. Secondly, the “development of the country depends on the development of women”. Since 2017, Gonoshasthaya Kendra (GK) and Multiple Donors have entered in a partnership to respond to the Rohingya crisis.
∎ Job Purpose:
∎ The Nutrition Site Supervisor will be responsible for the implementation of the nutrition activities at the field level. She/he will supervise and monitor the field-level staff and provide a guideline for quality implementation. She/he will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the integrated nutrition facilities
∎ Job Location: Bhasanchar, Noakhali and Ukhiya, Cox’s Bazar
∎ Overall responsibilities:
∎ Under the supervision of the Supervisor, the nutrition site supervisor will be responsible for the following main activities
