Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor degree in Nutrition Science.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Assess patients and clients health needs and diet.
∎ Council patients on nutrition issues and healthy eating habits.
∎ Advise clients on which foods to eat and those foods to avoid to improve their health.
∎ Coordinate with physicians in ward regarding dieting issues of patients.
∎ Develop meal plans, taking both cost and clients preferences into accounts.
∎ Evaluate the effects of meal plans and change the plans as needed.
∎ Promote better nutrition by speaking to groups about diet, nutrition, and the relationship between good eating habits and preventing or managing specific diseases.
∎ Evaluate the health of their clients.
∎ Provide customize information for specific individuals.
∎ Meet the patients periodically and consults for variety group of patients.
∎ Scheduling appointment and preparing informational material for clients.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Keep up with the latest nutritional science research.
∎ Write reports to document patient's progress.
