Job Context:
∎ ABG Technologies Limited, one of the latest concerns of Bashundhara Group - which is known as the leading and diversified business conglomerate in Bangladesh. As part of its expansion and commitment to excellence, the company seeks competent candidate for the "Officer/Sr. Officer (System & DC Infra)" position.
∎ The primary responsibility will be to oversee and manage the systems and data center infrastructure of the organization. Have to play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation and optimization of the company`s technology infrastructure. The duties will involve managing, maintaining, and enhancing various systems, networks, and data centers to meet the organization`s IT requirements.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Manage and administer the organization's server infrastructure, including installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
∎ Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement necessary changes to optimize performance.
∎ Ensure system security and implement measures to protect against unauthorized access or data breaches.
∎ Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure integration and compatibility of systems and applications.
∎ Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's data centers.
∎ Monitor the performance and capacity of data center infrastructure, including power, cooling, and networking equipment.
∎ Implement best practices for data center operations, including cable management, rack installation, and equipment inventory.
∎ Plan and execute data center expansion or migration projects as required.
∎ Troubleshoot network issues and implement necessary configurations or changes.
∎ Monitor network performance and implement measures to optimize network efficiency and reliability.
∎ Collaborate with network service providers to ensure seamless connectivity and resolve any connectivity-related issues.
∎ Develop and implement disaster recovery plans to minimize the impact of system failures or disasters.
∎ Conduct regular backup and restoration tests to ensure data integrity and availability.
∎ Collaborate with relevant teams to create and maintain business continuity plans.
∎ Create and maintain accurate documentation related to system configurations,
∎ system diagrams with network, and data center infrastructure.
∎ Prepare regular reports on system performance, capacity utilization, and infrastructure maintenance activities.
∎ Assist in budgeting and procurement activities related to system and data center infrastructure.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 35 years
∎ Proven experience in system administration, and data center operations.
∎ Strong knowledge of server hardware, operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux), and virtualization technologies. Relevant vendor certifications will get preference.
∎ Familiarity with network protocols, routing, switching, and firewall configurations.
∎ Experience in disaster recovery planning, backup systems, and business continuity.
∎ Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
∎ Strong organizational and project management abilities.
∎ Good communication and interpersonal skills.
