Responsibilities & Context:
∎ · Should Have Knowledge about Vacutainer.
∎ · Plan & monitor the team regarding daily collection schedule;
∎ ·  Draws and collects blood samples according to policy.
∎ ·  Verifies all related records.
∎ ·  Matching patient receipt with the prescription before sample collection
∎ ·  Maintain up to date collection protocols in SOP manuals for specimen collections
∎ ·  Do the phlebotomy by taking aseptic precaution.
∎ ·  Draw the blood in appropriate container in correct quantity.
∎ ·  Labels, processes and delivers specimens for testing according to protocol.
∎ ·  Maintains, cleans, and sterilizes equipment, instruments, and work area following safety, cleanliness, and infection control procedures.
∎ ·  Ensures proper disposal of waste material.
∎ ·  Acknowledgment of samples & maintain the data of the Phlebotomy.
∎ ·  Ensure patient paperwork is filled out correctly, and necessary information is captured at time of order
∎ ·   Looking after the overall housekeeping of the sample collection area·         Keeping the lab manager informed on customer feedback / complaints·         Maintaining confidentiality of information regarding patients.
∎ ·   Ready Sample for processing at Lab. Maintain relationship with existing customer
∎ . Any other duties assigned by authority.
