∎ Proven skills in financial management, managing of donor/partners funds, financial support to third parties, VAT, Tax and relevant compliance.
∎ Required skills on budget preparation budget monitoring and review of project expenses.
∎ Good administrative and leadership skills, ability to work in a team and good interpersonal skill.
∎ Knowledge on procurement procedure, different payment procedures and maintain books of accounts.
∎ Computer skills on MS word, Excel, Power point and email communication.
∎ Candidate should have a good knowledge on safe grading (Child Protection, Gender & Anti sexual harassment).

∎ Candidate having valid motor bike driving license will add an additional qualification.
Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Responsible for maintaining day to day accounts at unit level.
∎ Assist Programme Accountant for day-to-day accounting and recording.
∎ Record and post all daily transactions in the books of accounts/accounting software package through proper coding.
∎ Support project team to perform procurement of materials, equipment, furniture, stationery, food and snacks as per project requirement following procurement policy.
∎ Ensure all expenses made are reasonable, accurate and in compliance with cost principles procedures of the program.
∎ Ensure all expenses are verified in the validity and accuracy of reliable, reasonable and approved by a designated person before payment.
∎ Communication with relevant stakeholders.
∎ Ensure all accounting source documents are accurately preserved and all financial activities are kept in a true and fair manner.
∎ Prepare monthly report on all proceeds, contributions, miscellaneous expenditures, advances and income tax, VAT deductions, as required by the Management.
∎ Support internal and external auditing and verification.
∎ DASCOH Foundation is currently seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Project Accountant for its project titled ‘Environmental Human Rights for a Just Transition: Strengthened Local CSOs Transforming Climate Hotspots into Resilient Communities (ENGAGE). This project will be implemented in Tanore and Godagari Upazila of Rajshahi district and Manda and Mohadebpur Upazila of Naogaon district. The project is being implemented in collaboration with other NGOs in 6 districts having NETZ Bangladesh as the lead organisation. European Union (EU) is financially supporting the project. The Position will be available from 1 April 2025 to 31 December 2028. The detailed eligibility requirements of the position as mentioned below:
