Educational Requirements:
∎ Masters in any discipline (advanced degree in Education e.g. B.Ed/M.Ed would be preferred)
∎ At least 7 years’ experience in Education Sector of which 5 years in managerial level. Experience in UN funded projects would be also preferred.

Job Context:
∎ Friends in Village Development Bangladesh (FIVDB) is going to implement the Educate the Most Disadvantaged Children (EMDC) Project in Bancharampur and Nasirnagar Upazila under Brahmanbaria district supported by UNICEF. The present project tenure is up to December 2026.
∎ The proposed intervention is a five-year project to address the most disadvantaged out-of-school children in Brahmanbaria. The programme aims to enable disadvantaged children aged 7 to 14 to gain foundational skills composed of basic literacy, numeracy, socio-emotional and life skills. There will be two types of interventions; Catch-up programme for the new dropouts due to COVID who will return to formal education within 6 to 10 months and Multi-grade Multi-level Non-Formal Primary Education for regular dropout children. Universalization of girls in a particular location and inclusion of children with disabilities need to be prioritized throughout the project period.
∎ The duration of the project is 60 months and the job is contractual for the project period with a 3 months probation period. The position will be recruited for implementing the project based at the Project Office at Nasirnagar Upazila in Brahmanbaria district with substantial field activities.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ The Project Coordinator (PC) will be responsible for EMDC project implementation including staff management and development, financial management, budget preparation, monitoring and donor reporting. S/he will bear his/her responsibilities under direct supervision and guidelines of the focal person of EMDC project, FIVDB.
∎ Description of Responsibilities
∎ Ensure smooth and effective implementation of FIVDB EMDC Project within the set objectives and given framework in the Project working areas.
∎ Ensure achievement of the project’s outputs as measured by the log frame indicators.
∎ Responsible for the management of project inputs including staff, financial resources, equipment and other logistics, transportation, and communication.
∎ Prepare and review the operational plan periodically for smooth implementation.
∎ Liaise with District and Upazila level government stakeholders and other NGOs.
∎ Conduct monthly staff coordination meeting with Upazila level to coordinate upcoming activities and schedules. S/he will identify and resolve problems.
∎ Regularly visit Learning centers and monitor the operations of the project team and provide necessary support to field team.
∎ Ensure capacity building of communities and project staff to achieve the project outputs.
∎ Prepare periodic financial and narrative reports.
∎ Prepare Budget, Procurement plan, and support in project Audit.
∎ Have to be conversant with all the FIVDB Programs running in the project area and represent at all GO & NGO forums at the district level meeting/workshop.
∎ Ensure accurate and timely reports to UNICEF and FIVDB.
∎ Ensure the safety of team members (in respect to Prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse - PSEA) from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme's goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
∎ Perform any other assignment given by the project management and the organization.
∎ Financial Authority:
∎ Responsible to verify and approve all vouchers related to the Project as well as in the field level activities up to (Amount of the organizational policy). S/he will be also authorized to approve the vouchers related to approved salary and other expenses, etc. for project taking pre-approval from FIVDB.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 30 to 55 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply

∎ Acquire knowledge on Gender sensibility and organizational Gender Policy and act accordingly
∎ Child Protection and PSEA Policy
∎ Acquire knowledge on Child Development and organizational Child Protection Policy and Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) Policy and act accordingly.
∎ Fluency in spoken and written English and Bangla language.
∎ Proven analytical abilities, good documentation skills
∎ Proven leadership quality
∎ Knowledge and Experience in managing donor’s funded projects, procurement, reporting, finance, visibility; external audits.
∎ Skill in Computer software as MS-Office, MS Excel and MS Power Point.
∎ Ability to drive motorcycle with having valid driving license (driving motorcycle is optional for women).
∎ Ability to work under stressful situations and meet deadlines;

Salary: Tk. 90000 (Monthly)
