Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Job Context:
∎ Gana Unnayan Kendra (GUK) is seeking a qualified and committed person for the position of Project Coordinator for organizational ongoing Climate Change & Migration related project.
∎ Job Responsibilities:
∎ •                Develop and execute the Detailed Implementation Plan (DIP) for the Climate Change & Migration project, ensuring alignment with project objectives and timelines.
∎ •                Supervise project staff, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure effective project implementation and team performance.
∎ •                Establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at both district and national levels, including government agencies, NGOs, community leaders, and other relevant organizations.
∎ •                Utilize in-depth knowledge of climate change impacts, adaptation, and mitigation methodologies to inform project strategies and interventions.
∎ •                Incorporate understanding of migration dynamics and human trafficking issues into project activities, ensuring a holistic approach to addressing climate-induced migration challenges.
∎ •                Develop and implement climate-smart agriculture initiatives as part of the project's adaptation strategies.
∎ •                Manage donor communication and relations, including proposal development, reporting, and compliance with donor requirements.
∎ •                Prepare and submit comprehensive monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, and annual reports detailing project progress, achievements, challenges, and lessons learned.
∎ •                Develop business plans and innovation activity plans to enhance the sustainability and impact of project interventions.
∎ •                Monitor project expenditures and ensure adherence to budgetary constraints, identifying and addressing any financial discrepancies or risks.
∎ •                Strong understanding of climate change impacts, adaptation, and mitigation methodologies, with proven experience in implementing climate-related projects.
∎ •                Strong writing, reading & speaking capacity on English.
∎ •                Knowledge of migration dynamics and human trafficking issues, including their intersections with climate change.
∎ •                Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to supervise and motivate staff effectively.
∎ •                Proven ability to establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders at various levels, including government agencies, NGOs, and community representatives.
∎ •                Proficiency in developing and implementing logical frameworks for project monitoring and evaluation.
∎ •                Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience in donor communication and report writing.
∎ •                Ability to develop and implement business plans and innovation activity plans to enhance project impact and sustainability.
∎ •                Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
∎ •                Experience working on projects related to climate-induced migration and displacement.
∎ •                Familiarity with climate-smart agriculture practices and their application in vulnerable communities.
