∎ JOB PURPOSE: Project Coordinator (PC) is in charge of representing and coordinating Building Climate Resilient Migrant-Friendly Towns through Locally Led Adaptation (LLA) project of BRAC.
∎ The responsibilities of a Project Coordinator include operational and project management, human resources and financial management, communication, and representation of Building Climate Resilient Migrant-Friendly Towns through LLA project. S/he plays a key role in ensuring the quality and appropriateness of the project activities and the implementation of the project in targeted cities. S/he is responsible for follow up of the locally led adaptation of climate resilient migrant-friendly city initiatives across the country and participates in coordination meetings. The position holder will promote relevant knowledge/insights on various relevant platforms strategically aligned with UDP`s objectives, as well as works BRAC`s policies, principles, and values.
∎ SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme`s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Develop project strategies and detailed implementation plan in collaboration with the partner and team and orient all relevant staff in time.
∎ Ensure that the project is managed according to budget, and timely corrective action is taken, in consultation with project team, designated finance staff and partners.
∎ Lead the delivery of the interventions according to plan ensuring the project meets the needs of the targeted population and resources are used effectively.
∎ Make sure that the project's M&E framework and tools are in place and operational.
∎ Monitor overall project implementation and propose adaptations needed to achieve objectives, improve integration of approaches among project teams, partners, or improve coordination with project stakeholders (LGIs, CSOs and government departments).
∎ Ensure that the project team and partners fully understand the outcomes expected of them and are aware of the success criteria associated with the project.
∎ Ensure that high quality case studies are collected, innovation, learnings and best practices at project level are documented and disseminated.
∎ Oversee that periodic progress and final report on project activities and assigned partners are prepared and sent to.
∎ Ensure quality reports including establishing joint reporting tools and mechanisms, in close cooperation with donor, partners and project team.
