∎ WORKING EXPERIENCES:
∎ · A minimum of 7-10 years of relevant experience in designing and programming civil work is required. Must be able to perform software development fundamentals, problem-solving, debugging, tuning, and database security is required.
∎ · 3 years of experience in a similar position on rural infrastructure development.
∎ Computer software skill (AutoCAD designing, Illustrator, MS-Word, Excel and Access, etc.).
∎ Experienced on cash for work/rural infrastructure project.
∎ NECESSARY SKILLS:
∎ · Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in teams and multi-cultural environments.
∎ · Good report writing in English.
∎ · Fluency in Bengali and English is required. A Noakhali local language is preferable.·
∎ Computer software skills (AutoCAD designing, Illustrator, MS Word, Excel and Access, etc.).
∎ · Excellent E-mail communication both with donors and partners.
∎ · Habituated to extensive fieldwork·
∎ Need reporting skills and mail communication to WVB Women candidate will be given priority.
∎ ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION:
∎ At least bachelor degree in civil engineer from reputed University.
Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Resource Integration Centre (RIC) has been a national NGO since 1981 in Bangladesh. RIC is implementing Noakhali Flood Early Recovery Project in the Noakhali Sadar & Subarnachar Upzilla funded by World Vision, Bangladesh. RIC is seeking applications from potential candidates for the below position:
∎ PROGRAM: Noakhali Flood Early Recovery Project.
∎ Post type: Contract (October’ 2024 – June’ 2025),
∎ SCOPE OF ROLE:
∎ • Staff reportable to Project Coordinator
∎ • Staff maintain liaison with All project Staff & Representatives of WVB
∎ • Staff based at Noakhali Sadar Upazila under Noakhali District.
∎ Working Area: 6 selected Unions under Noakhali Sadar & Subarnachar Upzilla of Noakhali district
∎ OVERALL ROLE OF THIS POSITION:
∎ · Identify, design, plan, and oversee the construction of, tube wells/water points, toilets etc.
∎ · Undertaking technical and feasibility studies including site investigations· Using a range of computer software for developing detailed designs· Undertaking complex calculations
∎ · Liaising with government departments, local authorities, and a variety of professionals including architects
∎ · Compiling job specs and supervising tendering procedures
∎ · Resolving design and development problems
∎ · Managing budgets and project resources
∎ · Scheduling material and equipment purchases and deliveries
∎ · Making sure the project complies with legal requirements, especially health and safety
∎ · Assessing the sustainability and environmental impact of projects
∎ · Ensuring projects run smoothly and structures are completed within budget and on time
∎ .Ensuring reconstruction approval from relevant departments as well as WVB. K
∎ EY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES:
∎ A. The Project Engineer will be responsible for:
∎ · sound mathematical, scientific, and IT skills, the ability to think methodically and to manage project problem-solving skills ability to work to deadlines and within budgets ability to maintain an overview of entire projects while continuing to attend to detailed technicalities excellent verbal and written communication skills negotiating, supervisory, and leadership skills complete knowledge of relevant legislation regular monitoring in compliance with WVB guidelines.
∎ B. Responsible for WASH construction & community infrastructure development activities, cash for work, etc. tracing, writing, and reporting;
∎ C. Other responsibilities assigned by the supervisor.
Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ Salary: 52,000.00 per month, plus other admissible benefits according to the program budget & guideline
