Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Programme Planning and Implementation support:
∎ Manage the P2H project under the supervision of the Programme Coordinator and in coordination with technical manager
∎ Performs health needs assessments and mapping for the project guided by the outcomes and activities
∎ Provide necessary technical assistance for delivering health awareness and advocacy under the project.
∎ Ensure that project implementation is efficient, effective and done according to prescribed approaches, and provide with suggestions about implementation within the targeted areas or beneficiaries.
∎ To ensure timely and effective financial management and quality reporting for the project.
∎ Coordinate effectively with BDRCS, PNS, external stakeholders related to the project implementation.
∎ Represent IFRC as directed at internal and external meetings, technical and coordination meetings, ceremonies and Red Cross Red Crescent functions.
∎ Ensure timely recruitment for the planned positions under BDRCS.
∎ Liaise with the relevant local authorities and I/NGOs at the targeted areas of implementation in consultation with Line manager and National Society.
∎ To work in close collaboration with other programmes within the National Society and with Partner National Societies to ensure programme implementation is done in an integrated manner.
∎ Provides input to strategic decisions, Unified plan, reporting, operational plan that affect the functional area of responsibility.
∎ Ensure proper documentation, evidence, reporting of the project as per the timeframes.
∎ Facilitate monthly updates for sharing with EU
∎ Support BDRC health team in organising and facilitating relevant health trainings and workshops.
∎ Develop strategies and health program initiatives in collaboration with BDRC, PNS, sectors lead and partners.
∎ Provide extensive input and technical support to project proposals and program design along with log frame, budget
∎ Provide technical specifications for procurement of medical supplies, consumables, equipment.
∎ Undertake relevant tasks as assigned by the Line Manager as and when required.
∎ Supervising and Monitoring
∎ Identification of gaps, develop action plan under the guidance of line manager and monitor compliance.
∎ Conduct monitoring visit and ensure quality assurance of the project implementation
∎ Prepare and assist BDRCS Health team and PMER and communication teams to prepare situation and operational assessments, reviews and evaluations as deemed relevant.
∎ Forming and maintaining networks
∎ Maintain a dialogue with the community and monitor progress.

∎ Job Purpose:
∎ The Project Manager – Health will provide programmatic and technical support to the EU funded Recovery and Rehabilitation project “P2H” under health component of the IFRC Bangladesh Country Delegation in achieving the programme objectives working closely with the Country Office National Staff and Delegates. He /She will support the BDRCS health team to plan, manage and effectively implement activities under the P2H project. The incumbent will mainly provide technical, monitoring, and other implementation support to Bangladesh Red Crescent Society health team in rolling out the ongoing project and developing new proposals for mobilizing additional resources. In addition, he/she will support strategic anchoring, coordination and partnership with relevant government and non-government health agencies at national and district level.
