Job Responsibilities:
∎ The Better Diets for Children programme works to provide caregivers and children with the opportunities and reasons to consume more of the healthier foods, less of the others. We focus on improving exclusive breastfeeding, diets, and nutrient content of foods for infants between six to 23 months of age. Using proven methods, such as home fortification and social behaviour communication change, we seek to reduce the prevalence of anaemia by at least 10% among children between 6 and 59 months of age.

∎ Under the Maternal Multiple Micronutrient Supplementation (MMS) project, the Project Manager will work to provide regular inputs through dynamic leadership and facilitating knowledge to government institutions and relevant technical, strategic and development partners who have similar activities for maternal and child nutrition, in order to create an enabling environment for policy support and greater buy in to scale up Maternal Multiple Micronutrient Supplementation (MMS) through the public and private channel to improve the access for achieving positive birth outcomes.
∎ Reporting to the Portfolio Lead for Targeted Dietary Improvement Programmes, role specifics will include;
∎ Facilitating the process and providing regular policy discussions and inputs to the Technical Advisory Group (TAG) led by the government to harmonise standards on MMS in Bangladesh.
∎ Providing technical and needs-based capacity inputs to implementing partners for effective implementation and monitoring of progress of the MMS business model
∎ Supporting in the development of relevant Social and Behaviour Change Communication messages and materials in consultation with Government, partners and relevant experts.
∎ Responsible for overall monitoring of field work and reporting of the project progress reports, quarterly budget forecast, timely management of the funds
∎ Working to develop collaboration with Country team, Portfolio Management and Delivery team on program strategy, communications, and implementation of all project components
∎ Developing and maintaining working relationships with key stakeholders including government institutions, development partners, UN agencies, I/NGOs, and other strategic and alliance partners in the maternal nutrition linked in implementing the MMS project to deliver joint advocacy, coordination, research, and share learnings.
∎ Developing policy documents and guidelines technical documents and country proposition for MMS production and positioning
∎ Collaborating with the Knowledge Leadership (KL) team to develop result and monitoring framework and tools to closely monitor projects impact.
Additional Requirements:
∎ To be considered, you must have prior experience in developing and managing projects in a multi-cultural environment in public health nutrition with government or international organizations.
∎ You will have demonstrable experience in maternal nutrition project implementation and management, preferably in micronutrient supplementation/or nutrition activities.
∎ You will bring your expertise and knowledge in implementation partner management, working with experts in government, development and research agencies, alongside strong analytical skills in data analysis and reporting. Experience of working in a multi-cultural and cross-functional environment is preferable and you will possess a commitment to quality and accuracy.
Salary:
∎ 1,273,903 - 1,457,095 depending on experience
