∎ Summary:
∎ The Project Manager provides strategic technical leadership; technical representation for the program among donors, policy makers, and partners; and managerial oversight of the overarching programmatic, technical, and operational aspects of the program. S/he is accountable for all aspects of existing projects` effective management, including working with partners to ensure successful and timely implementation of sub-awards, and overall financial and budgetary oversight.
∎ The position is assigned to Pathfinder`s Bangladesh Women Led Community Resilience (WLCR) project in Bangladesh. It is a four-year project funded by Takeda Pharmaceuticals Company Limited as its` Global CSR Program. The project aims in advancing the leadership of women and girls towards better health and climate change resilience in Bangladesh.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Strategic Leadership: Provides strategic direction for project teams and their activities. Develops and updates program and country strategic plans to ensure alignment with programmatic directions and priorities.
∎ Project Implementation: Ensures that project performance objectives and mandated deliverables such as technical activities, annual work plans and programmatic/financial/ technical reports are carried out in a timely fashion, meet the highest quality standards and take into account donor/Pathfinder requirements and procedures.
∎ Community Relations: Liaises with government stakeholders along with community teams for cross cutting issues and to ensure integration. Collaborates and networks with key stakeholders closely with selected teams to promote all the activities at facility and community level.
∎ Project Management and Participation: Leads, manages or participates in cross-functional project teams at the regional level.
∎ Relationship Management: Build and maintain professional relationship with team and partner's relevant staff and upholding Pathfinder's values and code of conduct while implementing the project activities timely in a facilitative/ supportive mode
∎ Internal & External Coordination: Organize and facilitate regular coordination and review meetings with project employees and the stakeholders, including government agencies. Responsible for arranging/ coordinating workshop/training/meeting and any other outdoor program as per project activities.
∎ Project Activity Monitoring: Monitor all the relevant project activities. Prepares monthly and quarterly reports of all activities. Ensures linkage with MEL for compilation of data
∎ Documentation and Reports: Ensures quality, reliability, and timeliness of performance reports and other programmatic compliance activities.
∎ Management and Supervision: Recruits, mentors, develops and manages staff and teams.
∎ Management Reports: Develops and presents timely financial, technical, and operations reports and updates on the project progress and difficulties. Documents project achievements for communications materials such as the annual reports, brochures, and website updates.

Additional Requirements:
∎ 7-8 years' experience in program management preferably in Climate change/ Community Resilience related experience funded by an INGO in the field
∎ Prefer: 5 years' programmatic experience in field offices under a community resilience /disaster management project
∎ Minimally Required Job-Specific Competencies:
∎ Country Specific System: Commendable knowledge of Bangladesh's community resilience system, disaster management with a focus on public health, especially related to women health and wellbeing. Deep knowledge of the political, social, economic, and cultural context of the country.
∎ Resilience, disaster management: Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights(SRHR): Commendable knowledge of disaster management policy , strategy and resilience programs of Bangladesh. Good knowledge around SRHR integrated resilience and disaster management interventions. Knowledge of the health and climate change nexus, particularly related to individual, community and health system adaptation and resilience to climate shocks.
∎ Strategic Planning and Implementation: Mastery of skills in strategic visioning and leadership in institutional capacity building and developing.
∎ Proposal Development: Skilled in proposal development from concept to full proposal, resource mobilization and budget management.
∎ Leadership and Management: Proven ability to lead, manage, and develop others (including individuals and teams).
∎ Program and Project Planning and Management: Skills in designing, implementing and monitoring and evaluating development and intervention activities to fulfill performance objectives, including the timely implementation and reporting of donor-funded program activities in the health sector.
∎ Change Leadership: Ability to demonstrate a high degree of flexibility in managing change across a broad group of stakeholders in an inclusive manner.
∎ Minimally Required Organizational Competencies:
∎ Software Applications: Advanced knowledge of MS Office products, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
∎ Languages: Proven ability to write and speak using Bangla and English language.
∎ Communication Advanced oral and written communication skills, Ability to prepare and write reports.
∎ Multi-tasking Skills: Ability to manage multiple initiatives at the same time and work cooperatively with multiple partners.
∎ Self-Management and Teamwork: Ability to work independently and as a member of the team, ability to thrive in a matrix organization, ability to be detailed-oriented, and ability to manage stress effectively in a fast-paced environment
∎ Other Information:
∎ Extensive Travel required; must be willing to travel in public transportation
∎ Uses cellular and desk phone; laptop or desktop computer and other IT devices
