∎ Master of Social Science (MSS) in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Gender Studies, Public Administration, Bachelor of Social Science (BSS) in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Gender Studies, Public Admin
∎ Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Gender Studies, Public Administration, or related field. A Master’s degree is an asset.

∎ At least 3 years of relevant field experience in community development, civic engagement, local governance, or rights-based programming.
∎ Proven experience working with marginalized groups including Dalit communities, women, and youth.
∎ Familiarity with union and upazila-level governance structures and service delivery systems.
∎ Strong facilitation and community mobilization skills.
∎ Ability to coordinate with government stakeholders and community-based organizations.
∎ Proficient in documentation and activity reporting.
∎ Basic understanding of digital tools and communication materials.
∎ Able to ride a motorcycle and willing to travel extensively across field locations.
∎ Good command in Bangla; Basic English reading/writing skills preferred.

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Based in project areas (Bajua, Banishanta, and Loudobe) with frequent field travel (up to 80%).
∎ Must be flexible with work hours including early morning or evening community events.
∎ Support the implementation of project activities including participatory research, stakeholder mapping, formation of youth committees, and community dialogues.
∎ Organize and facilitate community-level campaigns on gender equality and civic rights.
∎ Assist in the rollout of the Model Unions Initiative and implementation of the Dalit student internship program.
∎ Coordinate the facilitation of dialogues between communities and local government officials, and support annual advocacy forums.
∎ Contribute to the development and promotion of the mobile grievance redressal app.
∎ Build trust with community members, youth, Dalit groups, women’s groups, and local leaders to ensure inclusive participation.
∎ Mobilize diverse community members to actively engage in project activities and decision-making spaces.
∎ Provide logistical and facilitation support to youth committees and ensure capacity-building training.
∎ Support the development of local partnerships with civil society organizations, NGOs, and government officials at union and upazila levels.
∎ Coordinate with local authorities to connect Dalit communities to legal aid, health, and livelihood services.
∎ Collect and compile field-level data, success stories, meeting notes, and event reports.
∎ Monitor progress of activities using predefined tools and indicators.
∎ Submit regular updates to the Project Manager with recommendations and field-level feedback.
∎ Support implementation of awareness campaigns via digital platforms, posters, and community events.
∎ Assist in preparing visual materials and disseminating rights-related information in local language.
∎ Position Summary:
∎ The Project Officer will play a critical role in implementing field-level activities across four outcomes of the project, with a strong focus on community mobilization, participatory research, stakeholder coordination, and advocacy facilitation. S/he will serve as the point of contact in the field and ensure effective implementation of activities in close coordination with the Project Manager and other team members.
