Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Nari Maitree (NM), a well-established women-led NGO with 42 years of experience in Bangladesh, is implementing the "Together We Lead" project in partnership with UN Women. This project supports positive gender norms among forcibly displaced Myanmar nationals (Rohingya) and host communities in Cox's Bazar, focusing on leadership and agency for women and girls and engagement with men and boys. We invite qualified and committed candidates to join our Cox’s Bazar team and contribute to this important initiative, drawing on Nari Maitree’s extensive experience in development and humanitarian programming.The Project Officer will oversee daily implementation of project activities, manage Gender Volunteers, and ensure community engagement across project sites.
∎ Reports to: Program Coordinator
∎ Duty Station: Cox's Bazar (Ukhiya), with occasional travel as required
∎ Implementation:Implement field activities as per workplan, including community outreach, dialogues, training sessions, and awareness-raising events.Support the EMAP (Engaging Men through Accountable Practice) and Women’s Leadership implementation, ensuring quality facilitation and adherence to methodologies.Support the establishment and operation of Women's Groups and other community initiatives.Coordinate with Gender Volunteers ofr effective delivery and provide regular coaching.Apply Do No Harm principles and document community feedback and adaptation measures.
