Educational Requirements:
∎ Minimum Bachelor Degree. Preferably in English, Statistics, Social Science/Development studies.

Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 3 year(s)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ The position of Project Officer-Research and Monitoring is a mid-level project staff. S/he will be appointed by LEPER and reportable to the Executive Committee in coordination with project manager AEP. The role is meant to;
∎ Assist Executive Committee of LEPER to facilitate a monitoring system within LEPER and its member organizations/federations and partners.
∎ Assist team in research; abstract development, follow-up ongoing research and communicate with partners conducting research.
∎ Assist to develop and submit project concept note and proposal for funding and communicate with potential donor and partners.
∎ Assist in reporting, data collection, participatory tools development, orienting team for quality reporting and recording.
∎ Assist team for proper documentation in line with organization priority; case study, quality photos etc.
∎ Analyze the reports and data from partners and suggest team for appropriate measures.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Preferably a minimum of 3 years working experience in an international/reputed national NGO in monitoring, research work and empowering CBOs.
∎ Demonstrated ability in the use of participatory quantitative and qualitative methods including questionnaire design, survey techniques, and participatory approaches.
∎ Possess qualitative and quantitative research skills, including previous exposure to data analysis approaches and writing up research findings.
∎ Proven strong report writing skills, ability to present monitoring data and survey finding clearly.
∎ Have proven expertise in monitoring, reporting and IT skill.
∎ Experience with project proposal and concept paper development and overall project cycle management will be an additional advantage.
∎ Willing to travel district level projects by using public transportation.
∎ KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
∎ Ability to think clearly and analytically.
∎ Excellent computer applications skills including MS Office.
∎ Ability to plan own work, setting priorities and complete it under pressure or when faced with competing demands.
∎ A strong commitment to gender sensitive, inclusive and pro-poor development work.
∎ Ability to work with multi-disciplinary team.
∎ Knowledge in Safeguarding policy and understanding of the international context in which these issue impacts the humanitarian/ NGO sector.

Salary:
∎ Monthly gross salary will be Tk. 32630.00 (negotiable for the experienced candidates).
