Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor degree on Psychology with 2 to 3 year's experience in the same position.

Job Context:
∎ The Centre for Disability in Development (CDD) is a not for profit organization established in 1996 to develop a more inclusive society for persons with disabilities. CDD simultaneously builds technical capacities of the development stakeholders and the communities in how to be more inclusive whilst also enabling persons with a disability to participate in society by strengthening their leadership and providing them with essential rehabilitation and other supports.
∎ CDD is one of the most renowned organizations in the field of disability-inclusive development. CDD`s work in Bangladesh is supported by international and national donor agencies/development partners. CDD offers an inclusive, amicable, and respectable work environment.
∎ The Ramon Magsaysay Award (Asian version of the Noble prize) has been awarded to its Executive Director in 2010. In 2018, CDD was recognized by the Government of Bangladesh as one of the best organizations working on disability and development issues.
∎ CDD is now accepting applications for the project of "Mental and Physical wellbeing of Rohingya victims of Torture" supported by UNOHCR.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Work with Rohingya project participants (individuals, groups and communities) to improve mental health
∎ Encourage Rohingya project participants to discuss emotions and experiences
∎ Examine issues including substance abuse, aging, bullying, anger management, careers, depression, relationships, self-image, stress and suicide
∎ Help Rohingya project participants define goals, plan action and gain insight
∎ Refer project participants to psychologists and other services
∎ Take a holistic (mind and body) approach to mental health care
∎ Report writing & Case stories development
∎ Documentation of client files and other related information about service delivery.
∎ You will also perform additional work according to the projects need and as being assigned by the CDD authority.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Ability to take initiative and generate ideas to complex situations.
∎ Diplomacy skills and ability to understand and handle multiple perspectives.
∎ Skills in inclusive facilitation and communication.
∎ Cross-cultural communication skills.
∎ Ability to prioritize workload in fast paced environment and handle stress with limited supervision.
∎ Willingness to learn and take on progressive portfolio of responsibilities.
∎ Excellent oral and written English and Bangla and capacity to product learning documents and products.
∎ Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, internet package).
∎ Experience in inclusion of at-risk groups ideally in humanitarian context- persons with disabilities, women, children, and older people.
∎ Fluency in English and Bangla (speaking and written).
∎ Experience in capacity building and delivering trainings, preferably in the field of age and /or disability
∎ Experience in humanitarian context/ Cox's Bazar context and preferably in an advocacy and/or technical support position
∎ Knowledge / understanding of humanitarian architecture, disability inclusion standards and guidelines and Universal Design principles
∎ Periodic Field Visit in the Rohingya Camp and Host Community Project Locations.
∎ Need-based work during weekends, when essential.
∎ Person with disability are encouraged to apply

Salary: Tk. 61500 - 66500 (Monthly)

∎ T/A, Mobile bill, Weekly 2 holidays
∎ Prorata basis festival bonus
∎ Insurance as per organizational agreed coverage
