∎ Age at least 30 years
∎ In-depth knowledge of spinning machinery components and their spare parts (e.g., blow room, carding, drawing, spinning, and winding machines)
∎ Strong understanding of inventory control systems and techniques, including stock level optimization, reorder points, and handling of high-value/critical spare parts.
∎ Proven ability to source and negotiate with suppliers and vendors, ensuring the timely delivery of quality spare parts at competitive prices.
∎ Experience in budgeting for spare parts procurement and managing costs without compromising quality or machine uptime.
∎ Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to address equipment downtime or parts quality issues swiftly.
∎ Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills to liaise effectively with internal teams, suppliers, and external stakeholders.
∎ Experience in guiding a team, with the ability to mentor and oversee junior staff involved in parts inventory management.
∎ Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) to track spare parts inventory, procurement, and procurement processes.
Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Develop and implement sourcing strategies for electrical spares (motors, drives, PLCs, sensors, panels, etc.) for spinning machinery.
∎ Forecast requirements and plan purchases based on production schedules and maintenance needs.
∎ Maintain a balance between cost, quality, and delivery timelines.· Identify, evaluate, and develop local and overseas suppliers.
∎ Handle import documentation, custom clearance, and logistics coordination.
∎ Maintain awareness of global market trends and exchange rate fluctuations.
∎ Conduct vendor evaluations, audits, and performance reviews.·
∎ Negotiate pricing, delivery, and payment terms.
∎ Build and maintain long-term relationships with suppliers.
∎ Issue purchase orders and track delivery schedules.
∎ Coordinate with maintenance and electrical departments for technical specifications.
∎ Ensure compliance with technical and quality standards.
∎ Monitor inventory levels to avoid overstocking or stock outs.
∎ Work closely with the stores and maintenance departments for inventory optimization.
∎ Analyze costs and identify areas for savings.
∎ Maintain all procurement-related documentation and records.
∎ Ensure compliance with import/export regulations and tax norms.
∎ Coordinate with accounts and logistics teams for timely payments and deliveries
