Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Civil Engineering
∎ Diploma in Quantity Surveying
Experience Requirements:
∎ 3 to 5 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Review project specifications, drawings, and other technical documents to determine the materials required for pre-engineered steel building projects.
∎ Prepare accurate and comprehensive material take-offs based on project requirements, including steel components, fasteners, insulation, cladding, and other associated materials.
∎ Conduct detailed cost estimates for pre-engineered steel building projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and other associated costs.
∎ Prepare accurate and comprehensive bills of quantities (BOQ) based on project specifications and drawings.
∎ Analyze project drawings and specifications to identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
∎ Collaborate with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to obtain competitive pricing and ensure timely procurement of materials and services.
∎ Evaluate and compare subcontractor and supplier quotations to determine the most cost-effective options.
∎ Monitor and track project expenses against the budget, identifying and addressing any variances.
∎ Conduct on-site inspections to verify work progress, quantities, and compliance with contractual requirements.
∎ Assist in evaluating and negotiating change orders, variations, and claims.
∎ Collaborate with the project team to identify and implement value engineering initiatives.
∎ Keep up to date with industry trends, market prices, and new construction materials related to pre-engineered steel buildings and structures.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 25 to 32 years
∎ Professional certification in Quantity Surveying will consider as an advantages.
