Educational Requirements:
∎ Masters in Economics/Statistics/International Relations/Development Studies or MBA in Finance.
∎ CGPA in Masters and Honours should be above 3.4 out of 4.
∎ Educational requirements may be relaxed in case of publication record in any international journal or 2-3 years of job experience.

Experience Requirements:
∎ 2 to 3 year(s)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Working closely with Research Fellow as the primary reporting point, Research Associate as the alternative point, Secretary and BASIS EC in performing the tasks assigned on regular basis.
∎ Communicating and liaison with the relevant stakeholders, i.e., A2I, BCC, ICT Division, PMIBD, BACCO, E-CAB, ISPAB, BCS, etc., and assisting in arranging knowledge sessions.
∎ Working as the Focal Point for the Standing Committees assigned.
∎ Drafting Concept Notes, Proposals, Talking Points, Speeches and PPTs for Officer Bearers of BASIS.
∎ Providing support to the Editorial Team for publishing the BASIS SMART Bangladesh Magazine, preparing Annual Report, Software & IT Service Catalog, Exporters Directory, and other documents.
∎ Writing Research Reports, Outcome Reports, Meeting Minutes, Meeting Summary etc., in English and Bangla.
∎ Taking up research works according to the R&D Department Roadmap and providing all necessary support.
∎ Keeping track of important global, economic and business indicators.
∎ Organizing workshops, seminars, webinars, FGDs, etc., on regular basis to address sub-sectorial domestic and international market-related challenges and opportunities.
∎ Conduct background research on various economic, country-specific market-related issues for policy formulation.
∎ Representing BASIS in the relevant national and international webinars, seminars, etc.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Freshers with outstanding academic records are welcome.
∎ Having a good understanding of trade-related issues faced by Bangladesh as well as those faced by other LDCs and developing countries.
∎ Translates technical knowledge into practical applications that contribute to country and sector strategies; e.g., able to translate technical analyses of macroeconomic, trade policy, and growth linkages into policy recommendations and cross-country lessons.
∎ Strong communication and coordination skills, including the ability to speak persuasively which would be important for presenting ideas clearly and concisely to both internally to BASIS professionals as well as when required with government officials dealing with policy.
∎ Sound analytical abilities and adept in Microsoft office package.
∎ In-depth knowledge of data analysis and ability to work with large datasets (Expertise in data analysis tools e.g. STATA, SPSS, Python, R).
∎ Open to learn, flexible, positive minded and accommodative.
∎ Passion and dedication to work with private sector.

Salary: Tk. 22000 - 25000 (Monthly)
