Uttaran is a people-centred organization using a rights-based approach to alleviate poverty, diversify livelihood opportunities and empower poor communities of Bangladesh.
∎ Uttaran invites applications for the vacant position titled- Research Assistants
∎ Reports to: Project Manager
∎ We are looking for six motivated and committed candidates for the position of Research Assistants in our project titled “Spatial Surge Forecasting Using Artificial Intelligence and Community Knowledge for Inclusive and Transformative Early Actions (SURF-IT).” It is an international project funded by the International Development Research Centre (IDRC), Canada. The project will be jointly implemented by North South University (NSU), Uttaran (NGO), and Action Against Hunger (ACF). The Research Assistants will be working for a period of 3 years.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Data collection, acquisition, processing, and interpretation.
∎ Conduct Case Studies, Key Informant Interviews (KIIs), and Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) sessions.
∎ Literature review, report writing.
∎ Assist the project team in conducting research.
∎ Regular visits to the project site.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 14 years
∎ Candidates should have strong English writing skills.
∎ Candidates should have excellent expertise in MS Office.
∎ Candidates with previous experience in data-driven analysis and computational modeling are encouraged to apply.
∎ Experience in Statistical and Econometric modeling is preferred.

Salary: Tk. 30000 (Monthly)
