Educational Requirements:
∎ Masters in nutrition science, food & nutrition, food technology and Engineering, public health or other related subject from any recognized university with minimum second class/division or equivalent GPA/CGPA in all academic examinations

Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 4 year(s)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Ensuring a nutrition counselling implementation plan for Children, pregnant and lactating women efficiently.
∎ Counselling the target population including care-givers of children under five children, adolescent girls and pregnant and lactating women.
∎ Support preparations of training materials on nutrition change behavior practices and provide capacity building training of the technical assistant and Community Nutrition Promoters (CNPs) to ensure quality required for the successful training.
∎ Support to organize and facilitate adequate health and nutrition education sessions for care-givers and beneficiaries on different nutrition subjects such as breastfeeding, complementary feeding, hygiene practice, improved cooking demonstration, care for pregnant and lactating women, prevention of illness, etc.
∎ Screening and referral of acutely malnourished children to health facilities.
∎ Ensure all targeted Pregnant and Lactating women receiving IYCF counseling.
∎ Producing and maintaining records of the beneficiaries as a member of the team, work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure community mobilization and referral.
∎ Supervise and provide technical advice and support to Technical Officer and technical Assistants by field visit and follow-up of the activities regularly for effective implementation of the project activities.
∎ Ensure proper and effective implementation of all project activities in the field level.
∎ Ensure project outcome is achieved and targets are reached within timeframe.
∎ Prepare training materials on nutrition change behavior practices and provide capacity building training of the technical staff to ensure quality required for the successful training.
∎ Keep tracking of the best practices and ensure documentation of the best practices.
∎ Coordinate with Deputy Project Manager (DPM) and Project Manager (PM) to prepare procurement plan, keep tracking on the budget spending and ensure agro-inputs are reached to the project beneficiaries for quality implementation of the project.
∎ Support DPM and PM to roll out Monitoring, Evaluation, Learning and Accountability (MEAL) systems to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of the targeted project objectives.
∎ Coordinate with the Camp and Host community stakeholders and ensure intensive communication with other HCMP sectors to ensure synergy and better result of the project.
∎ Facilitate donor visit, liaison with stakeholders and represent stakeholders’ coordination meeting for successful implementation of the project.
∎ Prepare monthly and quarterly progress reports, observation reports and expenditure reports.
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
