Job Context:
∎ Fair Pattern Inc. is a recognized provider of Information Technology and professional services catering to major Fortune 500 companies in the Finance, Manufacturing, Education, eCommerce, Retail and Luxury space.
∎ We are currently looking for Cloud System Engineer who will be responsible for all types of standard design and implementation. This includes design, implement and support the cloud operations in the change management process. This position will be working collaboratively with global team of developers, engineers and business partners in the project.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Building and maintaining large system in a virtualized environment
∎ Building and maintaining large system on physical infrastructure
∎ Experience in administrating and supporting infrastructure/server/cloud environment on Linux platforms
∎ Providing CI/CD tooling, based on Git, Bitbucket, GitLab
∎ Experience in Container Engine like Docker/Podman
∎ Experience in Container Orchestration like Kubernetes/RH OpenShift.
∎ In depth understanding and experience in at least one of the Kubernetes based Container Platform (Openshift, EKS, GKE)
∎ Good understanding of Kubernetes Deployments (Rolling updates, scale up, scale down), HPA, Node Affinity, metricServer, configmaps, etc.
∎ Understand of one or more of the following CSPs (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, Oracle, IBM Cloud, etc.)
∎ Proven shell-scripting and automation skills
∎ Understand the principles of operational readiness and stability
∎ Good understanding of Networking, TCP/IP and APP layers
∎ Exposure to messaging services like Kafka and Rabbit MQ.
∎ Gather, analyse and document functional and technical requirements for new projects, enhancements to existing solutions and production issues reported by end users
∎ Good understanding on Jenkins, Team City, Azure CI/CD, Git actions
∎ Notification management through Slack/Email etc
∎ Idea about auto-scaling
∎ Should be able to provide support for production issues.
∎ Provide application & database health monitoring tools.
