Experience Requirements:
∎ 3 to 6 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Manage and oversee a team of technicians and operators in production lines of the Cutting and Finishing Unit, and ensure quality control and maintain accurate operation of equipment and machineries
∎ Assess and optimize cutting, edging, and finishing processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality
∎ Ensure regulatory compliance regarding Health and Occupational Safety protocols to provide a safer workplace
∎ Monitor the inspection process to ensure that the correct inspection, methods, procedures, and specifications are followed
∎ Address employee grievances, concerns and queries, and establish an effective communication channel between the shop floor and shift management
∎ Report, monitor and record vital production data, numeric figures and provide information to the cold end shift manager
∎ Communicate with colleagues and supervisors in order to maintain a well-informed team
∎ Support and supervise trouble shooting of machineries, packaging equipment and conveyor systems
∎ Ensure the proper maintenance and calibration of cutting and finishing machinery to minimize downtime and maintain production capacity
∎ Collect and analyze production data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and cost- saving opportunities
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 25 years
∎ At least 3 to 6 years experiences preferably in glass manufacturing plant with focus on cutting & finishing processes
∎ Ability to work under pressure, good interpersonal skills, team-building capacity
∎ Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards in a manufacturing environment.
∎ Continuous improvement mindset and a commitment to quality.
∎ Good functional competencies in MS office applications.
