Educational Requirements:
∎ Masters degree in any discipline, Master of Science (MSc) in Textile Engineering
∎ Bangladesh University of Textiles (BUTEX)/ BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT)/BSC in Textile Engineering preferable.
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 5 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Manage supplier selection based on price, quality, support, after sales service, capacity, etc., reliability, credibility.
∎ Prepare sourcing budget and facilitate accordingly and issue purchase requisition/ comparative statement/purchase order.
∎ Create a farm sourcing base of all kinds of products (machine/spare parts/chemical/yarn/ sewing thread / garments accessories product materials) to support operations effectively and efficiently.
∎ Create product category wise sustainable sourcing base and maintain cost-effectiveness.
∎ Maintain an efficient inventory.
∎ Keep good relationship with the supplier, stakeholders both internal & external.
∎ Need to maintain and develop good logistic partner for local and imported goods.
∎ Need to enhance knowledge on future products and alternative products and sourcing.
∎ Close connectivity with the operation, sales, marketing, R&D, inventory, audit and accounts.
∎ Maintain seamless data and prepare management plan reports monthly basis.
∎ Monitor market price trend, provide market intelligence.
∎ Prepare procurement policy, procedure, modules & manuals.
∎ Managing team member, clearing & forwarding agent, supplier, certification body, production & planning.
∎ Source as per buyer sourcing guide.
∎ Sound knowledge of L/C, negotiable documents, import documents, duty structure/H.S. code, bond utilization, UD etc.
∎ Strong knowledge on latest sustainability and compliance requirement.
